Meeting and rewarding coaches and athletes with outstanding achievements in 2024

On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27), on the afternoon of March 21, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a meeting to commend and reward Coaches and Athletes (Coaches, Athletes) with outstanding achievements in 2024. Attending the meeting were comrade Le Xuan Loi, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches.

Overview of the meeting

Currently, Bac Ninh province is training 15 sports with a total of 461 athletes and 60 coaches. Of these, more than 50 athletes and coaches have been called up to the national teams and national youth teams.

In 2024, Bac Ninh has 77 sports delegations competing in national and international tournaments, winning 363 medals of all kinds, including: 109 Gold Medals (HCV); 105 Silver Medals (HCB); 149 Bronze Medals (HCBD). Specifically, at national tournaments, Bac Ninh athletes won 336 medals (103 Gold Medals, 94 Silver Medals, 139 Bronze Medals); In the international arena, they won 27 medals (06 Gold Medals, 11 Silver Medals, 10 Bronze Medals).

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Xuan Loi acknowledged and commended the achievements of the coaches and athletes in 2024.

To promote the achieved results, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to continue to advise the province on sports development mechanisms, remuneration policies, support for coaches and athletes to achieve high achievements... Create the most favorable conditions for Bac Ninh sports to develop further. According to the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, in addition to focusing on training, it is necessary to pay attention to attracting and selecting high-quality coaches and athletes who will make long-term contributions to the province's sports; the Coaching Board needs to develop detailed training plans, propose reasonable strategies to comprehensively develop the physical strength and professional skills of each athlete, build team spirit, create a positive training environment... Thereby, contributing to spreading and promoting the movement of physical exercise and sports, improving health among the people.

Coaches and athletes with high achievements were rewarded at the meeting.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 coaches and 4 athletes who had excellent achievements in international sports tournaments in 2024. Many coaches and athletes with excellent achievements in competition and training received awards from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
