National Highway 28B is being upgraded with a total investment of 1,435 billion VND, with a length of about 68 km. The entire length of the road winds through green hills and villages with typical cultural features of the two provinces of Binh Thuan and Lam Dong. Many curves and sharp turns have also been adjusted to increase safety for vehicles traveling on this route.

The National Highway 28B improvement and upgrading project is divided into two main sections: Section Km0 - Km28: Grade III plain road, with a design speed of 80 km/h; Section Km28 - Km69: Grade III mountainous road, with a design speed of 60 km/h.

After being upgraded and expanded, National Highway 28B will not only shorten travel time between the two provinces and increase safety, but also promote trade and connect key economic regions.

National Highway 28B, when completed, will become a potential "tourist road", connecting the tourist city of Da Lat with the coastal cities of Phan Thiet and Mui Ne; contributing to diversifying tourism products and increasing income for people in the two localities.
