Each country sent 32 members to attend the flag-raising ceremony - symbolizing the 32nd SEA Games.
Deputy Head of Delegation Hoang Quoc Vinh and coaches and athletes of the Kun Bokator and Jujitsu martial arts teams represented the Vietnamese Sports Delegation at the ceremony.
The Vietnamese sports delegation to the 32nd SEA Games consists of 1,003 members. Including 702 athletes, 1 head of delegation, 2 deputy heads of delegation, 30 officials, 31 doctors, 38 team leaders, 10 experts, and 189 coaches.

SEA Games 32 will host 608 events in 48 sports and sub-sports. Vietnam will participate in 31 sports, 446 events, aiming to win 100-120 gold medals, ranking in the top 3 of the entire delegation.
On May 2, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation became the first sports delegation to win a gold medal at the 32nd SEA Games, with victory in the conch chess event.
Pham Thanh Phuong Thao and Ton Nu Hong An defeated all opponents to be crowned champion 1 round early.

On the morning of May 3, the Vietnamese sports delegation led by Head of Delegation Dang Ha Viet, General Director of the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, went to Cambodia to begin their journey to compete at the 32nd SEA Games.
Because the SEA Games 32 competition schedule is spread over 12 days, the delegation this morning only has 130 members. Some teams will base on the competition schedule to go to Cambodia in the following days.
