(Dan Tri) - According to United Nations regulations, Peacekeeping Police participate in 3 contents: Individual officers; Special Police team and Armed Police team.
It is expected that on January 11, the Permanent Office for United Nations Peacekeeping (Ministry of Public Security) will hold a ceremony to announce the Decision to establish and launch the Peacekeeping Police Unit No. 1. This is the first armed peacekeeping police unit of Vietnam. Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Nam said that according to the regulations of the United Nations, countries will send peacekeeping police to participate in 3 contents: individual officers; special police team and armed police team. According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Nam, the task of Peacekeeping Police Unit No. 1 is to ensure and strengthen security for the area where the mission is deployed; ensure security for UN agencies and ensure security and order for the police of the host country, contributing to ensuring the safety of the people of the host country and humanitarian relief activities, and enforcing the protection of human rights. The rehearsal took place on January 10. At the ceremony, the soldiers of the Peacekeeping Police No. 1 will demonstrate their combat skills and techniques; handling situations that may occur in actual combat. In the photo, the soldiers are performing maneuvering techniques, taking advantage of terrain and objects to approach the target during reconnaissance to grasp the situation, attack and capture entrenched and hidden subjects. During the maneuvering process, the soldiers will always observe the situation of the target, terrain, grasp the development of opportunities, take advantage of any weaknesses of the target to maneuver, coordinate closely, always be ready to fight, and support each other. When performing, soldiers must always ensure the principles of determination, initiative, intelligence... especially creating surprise, flexibility, agility and precision.
In the photo is the technique of descending the death rope combined with shooting an AK gun, often applied in rugged mountainous terrain. This action requires the soldier to have courage, skillful technique to master the height, control the speed, combine shooting, and destroy different targets. After approaching the target, the soldiers will practice the hypothetical situation of forcing explosives to destroy the target's bunkers, sewers, and shelters. Next is the hypothetical situation of protecting the UN Special Envoy attending the event and being attacked by terrorists. This hypothetical situation is coordinated with the forces of the Guard Command (Ministry of Public Security). According to the hypothetical plan, the Peacekeeping Police Unit No. 1 deploys a vehicle formation to protect the Special Envoy and move inside the Hall. During the trip, the convoy was suddenly attacked by a terrorist group using a 16-seat vehicle, using explosives and weapons to attack the Special Envoy. Realizing the dangerous situation, the traffic police rushed up to block the terrorist vehicle.
At the same time, the special forces vehicle quickly moved forward, and the special forces officers opened fire on the terrorist group. The situation handling process only took about 1-2 minutes. The special envoy was then put in a car and quickly moved out of the danger zone to a safe place. Another hypothetical situation is that the Peacekeeping Police Unit No. 1 handles and resolves a large group of people gathering, protesting, and disturbing public order.
The protesters showed an aggressive and reckless attitude, using weapons to attack the authorities. The soldiers formed a shield, initially persuading the protesters to lay down their weapons and disperse peacefully. However, with stubborn subjects, the authorities use professional measures, use police dogs... to control the subjects. Water cannons were used to disperse the crowd. The final hypothetical scenario is capturing terrorists, rescuing hostages in high-rise buildings, and clearing and clearing bombs and mines.
According to the situation, a group of foreign officials had just landed at the airport, and on their way to work, they were controlled and arrested by a group of 6 people armed with AK guns, grenades, mines... They made demands, demanding that the local government release their subjects who were being detained by the authorities. The terrorists then took the hostages to a five-story building. The task of the Peacekeeping Police at this time was to approach, rescue the hostages, and arrest the terrorists. A sniper team was stationed to kill the terrorists at the water tower next to the target building. Meanwhile, from the ground, soldiers approached using techniques such as ropes, poles, etc. The hypothetical situation is that the building where the hostages are being held is equipped with 100% tempered glass. Therefore, a team of soldiers uses explosive packing techniques and uses extended detonators to break the door, creating conditions for another attack group to break in. The attack groups and teams coordinated smoothly, flexibly, and well... As a result, the terrorists were subdued and all hostages were rescued safely. However, the situation was not over yet as the terrorist group also planted some homemade bombs. The command of the operation sent a bomb squad to check, fix, and handle bombs in the entire area around the building, on cars...
To handle bombs and mines, soldiers use water pressure guns to destroy the detonator mechanism.
