Last night, March 25, at the stage on the banks of the Perfume River, the opening ceremony with the theme "Hue - Ancient Capital, New Opportunities" associated with Hue Festival 2025 officially opened. This is the opening event for a series of cultural, sports and tourism activities taking place in provinces and cities across the country, contributing to promoting and inspiring travel to a large number of people, creating momentum to promote the tourism industry to recover and develop quickly and sustainably.

According to information from the Hue City Department of Tourism, in the second quarter of 2025, the Department will coordinate with relevant units to develop a plan and organize the Hue International Culinary Exchange program; organize a conference to promote and advertise rural tourism in Hue city, combined with organizing a famtrip program to survey the potential of tourist destinations and rural tourism products.

In addition, Hue will step up investment promotion and promote Hue tourism in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City; participate in the Culture - Tourism Week and the program to introduce tourism, cuisine, Vietnamese craft villages, connect businesses on the occasion of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 in the European market; participate in the International Tourism Fair VITM Hanoi 2025, Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival.

Previously, in the first quarter of 2025, Hue City focused especially on activities to prepare for the National Tourism Year and Hue Festival 2025. Not only did it advise the Hue City People's Committee to issue a plan to organize and open the National Tourism Year and Hue Festival 2025, and complete the production of a clip introducing the program of activities, the locality also promoted the promotion of national tourism events.
