Construction of grandstand to celebrate April 30th in Ho Chi Minh City begins

Since the end of March, preparations and construction of the stands and stage for the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) in Ho Chi Minh City have been underway.

Accordingly, the parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification will take place on Le Duan Street, in front of the Reunification Hall (Independence Palace).

Le Duan and Pasteur streets will be the construction areas for the grandstand and stage of the 50th Anniversary of National Reunification Day.

The time and location for construction of the grandstand and stage for the April 30 holiday is divided into 3 phases.

Phase 1

The construction site is Pasteur Street (section from Le Duan to Alexandre De Rhodes).

According to Dan Tri reporters on Pasteur Street, many equipment for stage and grandstand construction projects have been gathered here.

This area will construct technical items and install stands B, C of the logistics area; install the base block stand; install stand A and stand A tent.

To serve the construction of the stands and stage, the bars preventing motorbikes from going onto the sidewalk were also removed beforehand.

Banners from previous activities and programs are also being dismantled and cleaned up.

Phase 2

Construction of the main stage items will begin on March 31 on Pasteur Street (from Han Thuyen to Le Duan).

At 30/4 Park (District 1), dozens of tree workers are pruning large tree branches, creating an open landscape for the construction of the stands and stage.

The flower beds along 30/4 Park were also pulled up by staff to make way for the grandstands and stages for the celebration.

Cleaning work was urgently carried out by staff.

Phase 3

Construction will begin on April 17 on Le Duan Street (from Nguyen Binh Khiem to Cong Xa Paris roundabout).

Accordingly, the median strip on Le Duan Street will also be reclaimed to serve event rehearsals, preliminary rehearsals, final rehearsals, and official parades.

In recent days, the tree company has also urgently cleared trees and trimmed large branches that are stuck in the middle of Le Duan Street.

After serving the 50th Anniversary of National Reunification Day, the work of dismantling, restoring, and re-establishing the land, trees, lighting poles, etc. for the roads will take place from May 1 to May 12.

Traffic Police Department informs people to limit traffic on Pasteur Street, Le Duan, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1.

Alternative route:

Direction 1 (for phase 1 construction): Pasteur - Le Duan - Pham Ngoc Thach (or Hai Ba Trung) - Vo Thi Sau - go towards District 3, Phu Nhuan, Tan Binh (airport)...

Direction 2: Pasteur - Nguyen Du - Truong Dinh - Nguyen Thi Minh Khai - go to district 3, 5, 10... or go to Truong Dinh to Hoang Sa, Truong Sa.

Direction 3: Pasteur - Han Thuyen - Cong Xa Paris - Le Duan - go towards Binh Thanh district, Thu Duc city.

Direction 4: Pasteur - Ly Tu Trong - Ton Duc Thang - go towards Binh Thanh district, Thu Duc city.

Direction 5: Pasteur - Le Loi - Tran Hung Dao towards District 5, 11... or Le Loi - Le Lai - Pham Hong Thai - Cach Mang Thang Tam - towards District 3, 10, Tan Binh, Tan Phu.
