Implementing Resolution No. 18 of the Provincial Party Committee on digital transformation, in recent years, the tourism industry has actively applied technology and digital platforms to promote its image; including organizing online tourism programs connecting with geoparks around the world, travel companies and businesses; scanning QR codes at tourism events and fairs; guiding the voting for Ha Giang as Asia's leading emerging tourism destination and Ha Giang as Asia's leading regional cultural destination using images, clips and videos on media sites and social networks. Upgrading and updating full tourism information on the industry's websites. Applying virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) to create new tourism products to help tourists experience destinations more vividly and attractively. Thereby, strongly spreading the image of Ha Giang to a large number of domestic and foreign tourists. Ha Giang has become a popular destination on digital tourism platforms.

Continuing to concretize Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo on developing science, technology, innovation and digital transformation, the tourism industry identifies key tasks in the new period as raising awareness of digital transformation; promoting the application of digital technology in tourism promotion and advertising; digitizing information of recognized tourism areas and spots, creating a digital database of tourism destinations, providing accurate, multilingual and highly interactive information; installing QR code systems at tourism spots, helping tourists easily access information about destinations; piloting the construction of smart tourism information and explanation kiosks using Robots, applying artificial intelligence (AI) to support tourists in looking up information and enhancing their experience.
Deputy Director of the Provincial Tourism Promotion Center Vu Thi Mai Huong shared: “Based on Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo and the digital transformation plan of the province and the industry, the Tourism Promotion Center will continue to advise the tourism industry to specify and clearly define the digital transformation role of state management agencies and enterprises; support and advise tourism businesses to apply technology to marketing, promotion, and service automation activities to keep up with development trends; strengthen connections with organizations, corporations, and businesses to carry out digital technology transfer; participate in international tourism fairs to exhibit service robots and smart tourism technology to deploy effective digital transformation solutions”.
