Gasoline prices increased simultaneously from this afternoon, June 1: Each liter of RON 95-III gasoline increased by 520 VND; E5 RON 92 increased by 390 VND...
This afternoon (June 1), the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance will regulate gasoline prices according to regulations. Key enterprises will offer retail prices not higher than the prices regulated by the joint ministries.
Announcements from key businesses show that gasoline prices have increased across the board, while oil prices have decreased since 3 p.m. this afternoon (June 1). Thus, gasoline prices have increased for the second consecutive session.
Specifically, each liter of RON 95-III gasoline increased by 520 VND, to 21,910 VND, E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 390 VND, to 20,880 VND/liter. Diesel oil decreased by 10 VND, to 18,300 VND/liter.
Gasoline prices increased for the second consecutive session.
Issues related to price stabilization items and the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund continued to receive attention and comments from delegates.
Delegate Pham Van Hoa (Dong Thap delegation) acknowledged that when the market fluctuated, we used this fund to regulate and limit the excessive increase in gasoline prices.
"But it is unreasonable to assign this fund to businesses to manage," Mr. Hoa said, and suggested assigning it to the Ministry of Finance to manage, because the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund comes from people's contributions, but businesses use the money for other purposes, which is "unfair."
With the current situation in Vietnam, Mr. Hoa agreed that the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund is still needed, but the Government needs to have a roadmap for the existence of this fund.
"The Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund should not be maintained forever because it is unreasonable and unfair," delegate Pham Van Hoa emphasized.
