The Ky Phuc Festival has a long history. According to historical documents, the festival dates back to the Le Trung Hung period in the 17th - 18th centuries, associated with the religious beliefs of 5 villages in the old Du Vien commune: Du Vien, Luong Cau, Ly Cau, Dai Dien, Kinh Dien.

The festival is held in early spring every year (on the 8th, 9th, 10th of the second lunar month) with rituals of water procession; palanquin procession, "Mr. Bo's pig" procession, pounding rice cake... Especially the "Mr. Bo's pig" procession is considered the sacred typical offering of the festival. At the festival, there are also many folk games such as dum singing, cau thum, tug of war, duck catching, attracting local people to participate. From 1945 to present, 5 villages in Tan Vien commune have maintained and preserved the traditional Ky Phuc festival with many ancient rituals as a belief and cultural beauty of the homeland, demonstrating the strength of great national unity, affirming the value of historical traditions.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Ngo Thi Thanh Thuy, Secretary of An Lao District Party Committee, said that over the years, realizing the importance of cultural heritage, the district has always focused on preserving, conserving and promoting the values of cultural heritage in the cause of socio-economic development. The district considers this an important task, one of the driving forces creating the identity and endogenous strength in the development process of the district.

The fact that the Ky Phuc Festival was recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as the 12th National Intangible Cultural Heritage in Hai Phong City is not only a source of pride, but also an event that affirms the unique value of local cultural heritage, contributing to honoring the diversity and richness of the national cultural treasure. This is also an opportunity for the locality to promote traditional cultural beauty, contributing to enhancing the position and image of An Lao district in the general cultural picture of Hai Phong City and the whole country.

On this occasion, the City People's Committee also awarded the city-level historical relic certificate to Du Vien communal house and Ly Cau communal house, Tan Vien commune. Ly Cau communal house dates back to the late 17th and early 18th centuries. Currently, the communal house still preserves many worship objects.

Du Vien communal house was originally a small temple built by the villagers to worship Thanh Hoang Tran Thi Trinh and Ngu Dao Cong. Around the 18th and 19th centuries, the communal house was moved to a new location by the villagers. The communal house was restored in 2008 in the shape of a T, with 5 front rooms and 3 main rooms, surrounded by many green trees...
