According to Mr. Nguyen Nguyen Phuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, exports in 2025 are considered unpredictable when the world economic situation is generally difficult, countries and markets compete more fiercely, and new regulations are introduced, which have immediately affected the steel industry.
"This year the city aims for double-digit growth, so the task set for the industry and trade sector and export activities is not small.
With the export fair, we spent a lot of time working with businesses and foreign diplomatic agencies to ask them to spread information and attract businesses, especially from large markets like China. With a larger scale, the event will contribute to promoting export activities," Mr. Phuong assessed.
According to the leader of the Department of Industry and Trade, export fairs are also an effective way to promote trade, especially saving more costs than businesses bringing goods abroad to participate in promotion, so the city decided to organize this event annually.
At the program, leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade awarded certificates of merit from the City People's Committee to 32 units with outstanding achievements in implementing Directive No. 01/CT-UBND of the City People's Committee, most of which are enterprises producing, trading, and retailing food... doing well in the work of goods sources and taking care of Tet goods.
