The headquarters of the Tax Department of Region IV is located in Hung Yen province.

On February 26, the Ministry of Finance issued Decision No. 381/QD-BTC on regulations on functions, tasks, powers and new organizational structure of the Tax Department.

Delegates discussed at the conference on preparations for the management transformation according to the new organizational structure organized by the General Department of Taxation on February 27 and 28 at the Tax Department of Hung Yen province.

Accordingly, the General Department of Taxation is downgraded to the Department of Taxation. The Department of Taxation is a unit under the Ministry of Finance.

The Tax Department is organized from the central to local levels according to a 3-level model, including: Tax Department (12 units); Tax Branch (20 regional Tax Branches) and Tax Teams (350 inter-district Tax Teams).

Tax Departments nationwide are organized into 20 regions. Except for Tax Departments Region I and Region II, the remaining Tax Departments have an average of no more than 13 departments.

District, town, city Tax Teams of provinces and centrally run cities, Inter-district Tax Teams (collectively referred to as District-level Tax Teams) under Regional Tax Branches.

Tax Department of Region IV includes the provinces of Hung Yen, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh and Ninh Binh. The headquarters of Tax Department of Region IV is located in Hung Yen province.

The operations of the Tax Department, Regional Tax Branches and Tax Teams under the new model will come into operation from March 1, 2025.
