Ho Chi Minh City proposes to continuously set off fireworks every Saturday to celebrate April 30

The Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City has proposed to launch fireworks for 15 minutes at the entrance of the Saigon River Tunnel in Thu Duc City on Saturday nights for 5 consecutive weeks, from April 19 to May 31. The fireworks will be launched from 9:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.

According to the HCM City Department of Culture and Information, in response to the 50th anniversary of National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), from March 20 to May 31, a series of cultural and sports activities with many practical meanings will be organized in Ho Chi Minh City.

The series of activities taking place on Saturday evenings of April 19, April 26, May 3, May 10, May 17 include: music stage, street music performances, cruise ship parade, flower boat performance on Saigon River, paragliding and flyboard performances... held at Nguyen Hue Walking Street, Bach Dang Wharf, Saigon River and Thu Duc Riverside Park.

On April 29 and 30, at Nguyen Hue Walking Street and the Bach Dang Wharf - Saigon River area, there will be many unique art performances such as circus, magic, opera, martial arts, trumpet music...

On the evening of April 30, a performance with 10,500 drones will be performed with many meaningful images of Ho Chi Minh City over the past 50 years. This drone performance is expected to also set a Vietnamese record for the largest number of drones flying at one time.

The city also plans to organize fireworks displays at 7 locations including: Saigon River Tunnel area, Thu Duc City; Ben Duoc Martyrs Memorial Temple, Cu Chi District; Nga Ba Giong Martyrs Memorial Area, Hoc Mon District; Lang Le - Bau Co Relic Site, Binh Chanh District; Can Gio District Football Field; National Historical - Cultural Park; Dam Sen Cultural Park.

In addition to the 7 planned fireworks display locations mentioned above, the Ho Chi Minh City Command is also mobilizing districts and businesses located in the city to participate in socializing local fireworks displays.
