The incident was recorded on camera and spread on social networks.
On March 22, a representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Public Transport Management Center said that the driver of bus number 57 had just been suspended for lack of observation.
Moment to capture the situation.
At 4:29 p.m. on March 7, driver Diep Thanh Tung drove bus number 57 (Phuoc Binh market - Hiep Binh High School route) while dropping off passengers at the VinaTex College bus station (Kha Van Can street, Thu Duc city). Due to lack of observation, he closed the bus door before a female student had left the bus. The backpack the girl was carrying on her back got caught, causing the victim to fall to the ground, right next to the moving wheel.
Fortunately, the driver discovered it and stopped the car so no unfortunate accident happened.
Upon receiving the information, the center verified and coordinated with Phuong Trang Company - the operator of the above bus route, to handle the incident.
Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh City Public Transport Management Center decided to suspend driver Tung from work from 8:00 a.m. on March 22.
The Center requested Phuong Trang Company to rectify and remind its drivers to strictly comply with regulations on traffic safety and order, regulations on public passenger transport by bus, and not to let similar cases happen.
