This activity has contributed to strengthening economic and investment partnerships in the Francophone space, in line with the spirit of the 2024-2027 Action Program adopted at the 44th session of the Francophone Ministerial Conference held on November 4 and 5, 2023 in Yaounde, Cameroon.
Ms. Louise MUSHIKIWABO, Secretary General of La Francophonie, will lead a delegation of about 100 companies and economic actors selected from all French-speaking regions: Africa, Americas, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, the Indian Ocean and the Middle East. The delegation will meet with more than 200 Benin companies with the aim of realizing investment and trade opportunities in sectors that are strategic for Benin and have great potential for intra-Francophone partnerships in the following sectors:
• Processing industry, especially processing activities aimed at adding value to Benin's exports (cotton-textiles, cashews, maize, organic palm oil), especially in terms of mechanization (agricultural machinery) and improving soil fertility (fertilizers), and developing production to enhance the country's food security (livestock and poultry meat, aquaculture and fishing).
• Cultural and creative industries, including the film industry, fashion, tourism, events and promotion of the country's rich historical heritage, with the opening of international museums in the coming months.
• Digital transformation, and especially business process outsourcing (BPO) supported by artificial intelligence, e-administration solutions (e-government) and development of application solutions in the fields of processing industry and cultural and creative industries.
The deadline to register for the event is March 28, 2025.
