During a business trip to Japan, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - General Director of the Corporation and Ms. Chu Thanh Ha - Chairman of FPT Software - FPT Corporation had a meeting and discussed with the FPT leadership team in Japan and the unit's production block about important orientations related to responsibility, working spirit and future development strategy. The spirit of innovation, commitment to investing in people and technology are the consistent contents, promoting the sustainable development of FPT in Japan.
FPT General Director Nguyen Van Khoa said that it is necessary to invest heavily in resources and technology, and at the same time train human resources to master AI in production.
"Which unit determines FPT's profits in Japan?", FPT CEO Nguyen Van Khoa asked at the event. Immediately, everyone raised their hands and said in unison: "Production Division!". This clearly shows the core role of this division in all FPT operations.
Immediately after that, the FPT General Director asked two more questions about FPT's reputation in Japan in the eyes of customers and the feelings of colleagues when receiving increasingly large contracts.
From the three questions and responses, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa emphasized the core issue: "We must invest in personnel with domain depth (specialization)". Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa gave the example of FPT's team of experts, with more than 25 years of experience in the finance - banking sector, 27 years in the tax sector, who not only perform the work but also lead customers, help them change and optimize the system. "We need such experts in Japan", Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa affirmed.
The FPT General Director also acknowledged the efforts of FPT brothers in Japan in bringing the ratio of Japanese managers to 40% and pledged that FPT will continue to invest to increase this number to 70% in the next three years.
At the same time, FPT's General Director emphasized two important tasks: first is to improve domain capacity in manufacturing industries, recruiting personnel with deep understanding of this field to integrate into customers' systems; second is to improve consulting, analysis and design capacity for end-to-end systems. "We have experience in the automotive industry, but we need to recruit more experts with deep understanding of the domain in manufacturing systems".
Regarding the future, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa affirmed: "AI is the future of FPT, and AI must go hand in hand with the production sector". Therefore, the unit needs to quickly build a specialized AI department of FPT in Japan, invest heavily in resources and technology, and train personnel to master AI in production. "I hope you will add experience and expertise in the domain, and AI will help us achieve this". The CEO of FPT Corporation emphasized that whether FPT in Japan can achieve a revenue of 1 billion USD or not depends 80% on the production sector.
Ms. Chu Thanh Ha, FPT Corporation, gives key directions for FPT production block in Japan.
After Mr. Khoa's sharing, Ms. Chu Thanh Ha, FPT Corporation, provided an in-depth view of the Japanese market and FPT's long-term development strategy here. Ms. Chu Thanh Ha emphasized that to conquer this market, FPT needs to be prepared in terms of service quality, human resources and approach to Japanese customers. "Providing Japanese-style services is not only an important factor to ensure success but also helps build sustainable trust with customers. To do this, FPT needs to closely cooperate between the sales team and Japanese domain experts to optimize the customer development model and increase the ability to convert large contracts."
Ms. Chu Thanh Ha believes that the success of the IT Services Business Sector in foreign markets depends not only on internal factors but also on the close connection between employees, leaders and customers. The synchronous coordination between these three factors will help create large-scale projects with outstanding quality.
