In order to improve digital technology capacity and apply artificial intelligence (AI) in administrative work, the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City in coordination with the Department of Home Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City organized an AI human resource training program for officials and civil servants in the area.
The program is organized in the context of implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo, focusing on the orientation of enhancing digital transformation, improving the quality of civil servants and implementing the policy of merging and streamlining the state administrative apparatus.
The program aims to equip knowledge and skills to apply AI in work, helping officials and civil servants effectively use digital tools to improve labor productivity and enhance the quality of service to the people.
The training not only introduces modern AI tools but also guides practical applications in administrative work, such as report generation, document management, work schedules, data analysis and office automation.
In addition, the program also specifically emphasizes information security issues when using AI, helping officials and civil servants understand technological risks and methods of data protection during work.

According to the plan, the training courses will take place throughout 2025, with 3 main groups of subjects including: civil servants in districts, wards, and communes; civil servants in departments, branches, and sectors; and leaders at all levels of the city.
The first class is scheduled to be held on March 22, 2025 at Ho Chi Minh City Banking University (36 Ton That Dam, Nguyen Thai Binh Ward, District 1). The class will have the participation of about 150 students who are officials and civil servants from Districts 1, 3, 4, Binh Thanh District and Phu Nhuan District.
The program is divided into 2 main parts:
Part 1: Overview of artificial intelligence (AI), AI applications in public administration and tools to support work optimization.
Part 2: Information security in using AI, tools to support deployment and data analysis, helping ward and commune officials deploy information synthesis to neighborhoods, hamlets, and residential groups.
Equipping civil servants with AI knowledge and skills will help them not only improve work efficiency but also contribute to the overall development of the city in the era of Industry 4.0.
