Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy - Principal of Nguyen Sieu Secondary and High School emphasized: We are living in the digital age, where tiny semiconductor chips are changing the world. Semiconductor technology is the foundation of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, helping to increase productivity, optimize operations and open up unprecedented possibilities.
Semiconductors are not only a technological issue but also a national strategic issue. World powers such as the US, China, South Korea, Japan and Europe all consider this a top priority area, because it determines competitiveness, economic security and national defense security.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy, Principal of Nguyen Sieu Secondary and High School.
For high schools, career guidance for the Vietnamese youth generation in the semiconductor technology industry requires students to have the necessary skills and knowledge in: Mathematics & Physics, especially electronics, microchips, optics and precision mechanics; Information Technology & Programming to help them understand circuit design, embedded programming and artificial intelligence; Foreign languages to access documents and work in an international environment.
Nguyen Sieu School's STEAM Day 2025 introduces semiconductor technology - a field that is "hot" globally and could become the lifeblood of the economy in the future. The event also marks the first time semiconductor technology has appeared at a STEAM day for students from kindergarten to high school, and celebrates the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
Preschool children are excited to participate in the festival with Robotic models.
"This is a useful and interesting playground that inspires passion for scientific and technological innovation. With the pioneering spirit of paving the way and leading the future in the era of national development, the school will gradually integrate semiconductor technology into the Science subject. Nguyen Sieu is also the first high school to boldly introduce new experiences to guide Vietnamese youth in the digital age," Ms. Minh Thuy shared.
At the program, the school's students listened to the sharing of speaker Tran Trong An from the School of Materials, Hanoi University of Science and Technology on the topic "The magical power of semiconductor chips". Students learned what semiconductor chips are, how to produce semiconductor chips and upcoming job opportunities for Vietnamese people in this industry.
Representatives of invited delegates pressed the button to open the STEAM Festival 2025 at Nguyen Sieu School.
Dr. Tran Trong An from Hanoi University of Science and Technology shares about semiconductor chip technology with students.
During the festival, students experienced many activities such as: Shooting water rockets, visiting booths and experiencing AI technology products, Robotic arena and many other interesting thinking training games. Preschool children also participated in assembling, puzzles, operating robots, looking at telescopes...
Below are some pictures at the festival:
