Since the beginning of 2023, the General Department of Engineering has directed agencies and units to strengthen technical management, improve repair quality, proactively create material sources, promote internal resources to repair technical equipment, and reduce dependence on equipment manufacturers.

Accordingly, specialized units under the General Department of Engineering have carried out major and medium repairs of tens of thousands of guns, artillery, and vehicles; repaired and synchronized hundreds of missile equipment, and inspected 46,500 ammunition samples. Along with that, factories and repair enterprises throughout the army have built and implemented production, technical, financial, and social plans for 2023 to ensure strictness and closeness to reality; coordinated with agencies and units in allocating technical equipment sources for repairs; proactively created technical materials for repairs. The total value of goods output in the first 6 months of 2023 reached 51.4%, an increase of 1.5% over the same period in 2022.
