The whole province consumes about 4,500 tons of strawberries.

The whole Son La province currently has over 740 hectares of strawberries, mainly concentrated in Mai Son district with 577 hectares, Moc Chau district with 106 hectares and Yen Chau district with about 53.5 hectares. The estimated strawberry output is over 9,360 tons of fruit.

Son La strawberries are grown according to VietGAP process, using organic fertilizers, no pathogens, no pesticide residues, irradiated against parasites, with food safety certificates from competent authorities. Son La strawberries have clear origin, guaranteed quality, food hygiene and safety, meeting the conditions of the domestic and export markets. Since the beginning of the season, the whole province has consumed about 4,500 tons of fresh fruit, with an average selling price of 80 - 250 thousand VND/kg, worth about 770 billion VND. In addition to consuming fresh fruit, Son La strawberries are also purchased and processed by businesses into other products such as: strawberry jam, dried strawberries, strawberry syrup... thereby contributing to bringing high income to strawberry growers.
