BHG - On the afternoon of March 24, in Ha Giang city, the Department of Industry and Trade of Ha Giang province (Vietnam) and the Department of Trade of Van Son district, Yunnan province (China) jointly organized a conference to connect import-export enterprises of both sides in 2025. Attending the conference were comrades: Hoang Gia Long, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Hoang Minh Son, Consulate General of Vietnam in Kunming city, Yunnan province (China); leaders of the Trade Promotion Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade; departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of districts and cities. On the side of Van Son district, there was comrade Tiet Dinh Hai, Deputy Director of the Department of Trade of Van Son district and members of the delegation.

In recent times, the exchange and cooperation relationship between the Department of Industry and Trade of Ha Giang province and the Department of Trade of Van Son district has been promoted and maintained through information exchange, sending letters, organizing visits and working sessions, and talks. The two sides have actively consulted, coordinated in organizing and participating in many programs and events to promote trade and services with high results, such as: A series of events to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the opening of Thanh Thuy - Thien Bao Border Gate; China - Vietnam International Tourism Trade Fair (Malipo); Kunming International Trade Fair and the Conference of Provincial Governors of the Mekong - Lancang Economic Zone; Conference on "Economic and trade cooperation, building connecting infrastructure, developing rural agriculture, cross-border financial insurance, and facilitating customs clearance".

At the conference, delegates discussed key issues: The value of imported and exported goods increased unstably, unsustainably, and the potential of the border gate system has not been fully exploited; import and export activities mainly take place at the Thanh Thuy - Thien Bao international border gate pair, while the Xin Man - Do Long and Sam Pun - Dien Bong bilateral border gates are operating quietly; means of transport only carry out the transfer of goods at warehouses and yards in the border gate area, which has not cut costs. Representatives of enterprises from both sides also proposed the need for specific support mechanisms, creating favorable conditions for import and export enterprises; reforming administrative procedures to reduce customs clearance time; regularly exchanging and providing market information, consumer tastes and standards and technical requirements for goods to make appropriate adjustments.

Speaking at the conference, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Gia Long emphasized: The conference connecting import-export enterprises of Ha Giang - Van Son in 2025 with the participation of nearly 70 import-export enterprises is a practical activity to celebrate the "Vietnam - China Humanitarian Exchange Year" and the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China; promote economic and trade cooperation; create a breakthrough in increasing import-export turnover of goods through the border gates of the two localities and create momentum for cooperation programs and contents in the next period. Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Gia Long suggested: The functional agencies of the two sides continue to strengthen mutual political trust, proactively exchange and cooperate to implement common perceptions discussed and signed by senior leaders of the two Parties, two States, and two localities; synchronously implement bilateral and multilateral trade agreements that both sides have signed; implement solutions to promote import-export activities; Strengthen investment cooperation to develop synchronous infrastructure; connect businesses of both sides to cooperate in investment; negotiate to resume the operation of traditional border crossings and markets; support businesses of both sides to promote trade, seek business partners, and expand markets; pilot the construction of cross-border trade cooperation models. Hope that the Consulate General of Vietnam in Kunming, China will continue to pay attention and act as a bridge to promote the friendly and cooperative relations between Ha Giang and Yunnan provinces; support businesses to promote and introduce products, share market information, consumer tastes and standards and technical requirements for Yunnan goods; connect and attract Yunnan science and technology enterprises to cooperate and invest in Ha Giang. The Trade Promotion Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade, continues to pay attention to supporting the province in promoting, advertising, and consuming products in the Chinese market and other countries. Businesses from both sides actively exchanged information to achieve high efficiency in trade activities; after the conference, they quickly implemented cooperation agreements into concrete actions in practice.
