Son La youth join hands to build new countryside and protect the environment

On the morning of March 23, in Chieng Ngan commune, Son La city, Son La Provincial Youth Union coordinated with the Youth Union of the Ministry of Finance, Vietnam Airlines Corporation, Vietnam Oil and Gas Group and Vietnam Opera House to launch the Peak Day of "Volunteering to join hands to build new rural areas" and the first "Green Sunday" in Youth Month 2025.

At the program, the Provincial Youth Union, the City Youth Union and accompanying units presented the project "Children's playground" to Chieng Ngan A Primary - Secondary School; the model "Preventing plastic waste" to Chieng Ngan Commune Youth Union; the project "Lighting up the village" to the people of Chieng Ngan Commune. In addition, 20 gifts were presented to households and children in difficult circumstances in the commune. The total value is more than 60 million VND.

New rural construction is the central theme in the peak activities of the youth. In recent times, the Youth Union organizations in the whole province have mobilized social resources, mobilized union members and youth to renew thousands of kilometers of rural roads, build hundreds of "Lighting up the countryside roads" projects, repair people's bridges, village cultural houses; and plant flowers and trees on rural roads. Many models such as: Lighting up the countryside roads, model roads, propaganda teams for protecting the green - clean - beautiful environment, and self-managed youth roads have been widely deployed, becoming vibrant movements of the youth, attracting a large number of union members, youth and people to participate./.
