At the ceremony, the leaders of Da Nang city, on behalf of the President, posthumously awarded the honorary title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother to three mothers.
Specifically, mother Le Thi Dan (originally from Dien Quang commune, Dien Ban town) has 2 children who are martyrs; mother Tran Thi Tuyen (originally from Que Long commune, Que Son district) has 2 children who are martyrs; mother Tran Thi Su (originally from Que Long commune, Que Son district) has a husband and 1 child who are martyrs.
Thus, up to now, in Da Nang city, there are 3,387 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers who have been awarded or posthumously awarded the title, of which 62 are still alive.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Le Trung Chinh said that taking care of the lives of wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, families of martyrs and people with revolutionary contributions has become a major policy of Da Nang. In addition to the policies stipulated by the Central Government, the city has also issued a number of specific policies to improve the living standards of people with revolutionary contributions.
The leaders of Da Nang City also believe that the relatives of the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and families of people with meritorious services will always uphold the tradition of patriotism, maintain good qualities, and be worthy of being a shining example for future generations to follow.
