Successfully organized the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities at district level

By June 14, districts, towns and cities in the province had completed organizing the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities in 2024.

The Congress of Ethnic Minorities in Bao Yen District is a district-level congress.

According to the assessment of the Steering Committee of the Provincial Ethnic Minority Congress, the organization of district-level congresses has been closely directed by Party committees and authorities at all levels. The congresses of districts, towns and cities have been carefully prepared from the dissemination and implementation of directives and instructions from the Central Government and the province, and the development of plans, the establishment of Steering Committees, Organizing Committees, and sub-committees to assist in organizing the congress; preparation of documents, personnel, and scripts; and propaganda work before, during and after the congress, creating an exciting atmosphere among cadres, party members and the people.

The Congress of ethnic minorities in Bat Xat district consulted and elected 21 delegates to attend the Congress of ethnic minorities in Lao Cai province.

The congress took place in a solemn and exciting atmosphere; the content closely followed the Central's instructions and was carefully prepared; the delegates attending the congress were basically complete and correct in composition. With a total of 1,346 delegates representing 24 ethnic minorities living in the province, 166 typical delegates were elected to attend the provincial congress. The political reports of the congresses of districts, towns and cities demonstrated patriotic movements, assessed the effectiveness of the ethnic policies of the Party and State in the period of 2019 - 2024, especially highlighting typical examples of ethnic minorities in the province through the periods in all fields. The congress heard many typical reports of collectives and individuals in fields such as economy, education, national defense - security, etc. The determination was highly agreed upon by the delegates attending the congress. A total of 63 reports from groups and individuals in the fields of economics, education, national defense and security, etc. were sent to the district-level congress. The reports have demonstrated the results of implementing ethnic policies, affirming the Party and State's concern for the people, helping to improve the quality of life. The people of all ethnic groups always have confidence in the leadership of the Party and Government.

Delegates attending the district congress were complete and had the right composition.

The district-level congress awarded certificates of merit to 65 collectives and 238 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing ethnic work and ethnic policies in the 2019-2024 period.

As planned, the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities of Lao Cai Province in 2024 will be held in August 2024 with 330 delegates attending.
