More than 200 athletes compete at the Tug of War Tournament, the 9th Quang Tri Provincial Sports Festival

The Tug of War tournament took place from March 18-19 at the Provincial Multi-purpose Gymnasium; gathering more than 200 male and female athletes from Vinh Linh, Trieu Phong, Dakrong districts, Quang Tri town, Dong Ha city and the Provincial Police. The athletes competed in 5 categories, including: 460kg women, 480kg women, 480kg men, 560kg men and mixed.

The Tug of War Tournament is organized to create a useful playground for athletes to meet, exchange expertise, strengthen solidarity and compete; maintain and develop traditional sports , contribute to promoting the implementation of the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" and the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life"; select outstanding athletes for the provincial team to participate in national sports competitions.
