Ho Chi Minh City launches contest on ethnic work in 2025

On March 20, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Ho Chi Minh City held a conference to deploy the plan to organize a contest to learn about the law on ethnic affairs in the area in 2025.

At the Conference, Ms. Dang Thi Tuyet Mai, Deputy Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Ho Chi Minh City, said that the contest to learn about the law on ethnic affairs in Ho Chi Minh City in 2025 is one of the practical activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

At the same time, the contest aims to contribute to raising awareness of ethnic affairs and promoting legal understanding through the form of dramatization, in accordance with the customs, practices and traditional culture of ethnic minorities in the area.

This year, the theme of the contest is "Colorful City", organized in the form of recording (video clip) and communication on Youtube and Facebook platforms. HTV's weekly audience voting topics, combined with the scoring of the Jury, include 4 parts: Self-introduction, Knowledge test, Situation handling, Propaganda skit.

Contestants are cadres, civil servants, and public employees working in the dissemination, education of law, and communication of agencies and units; youth union members, Women's Union members, members of the Front Work Committee, prestigious people, and ethnic minorities in the area.

The content of the contest is to learn about the law on ethnic affairs; National target program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021 - 2030; Strategy on ethnic affairs in Ho Chi Minh City for the period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2045;...

In addition, the content of the contest also focuses on promoting the role of the people in protecting national defense, security, protecting national borders, protecting forests and the ecological environment; other policies and laws directly related to ethnic minorities, in accordance with the actual situation of the city.
