Prime Minister: VinFuture becomes a prestigious science award, promoting global cooperation

"Dear leaders of the Party, State and Vietnam Fatherland Front!

Dear scientists, delegates and guests!

Today, in the solemn space of the Hoan Kiem Theater in the thousand-year-old civilized and heroic capital of Hanoi - the capital of conscience and human dignity - the city for peace, where the noble and typical values of the Vietnamese people converge, crystallize and shine, we are very pleased to attend the fourth VinFuture Awards Ceremony.

With the message “Resilient Breakthrough”, VinFuture 2024 is an important event, continuing to honor breakthrough research and inventions with far-reaching impacts, helping humanity overcome difficulties and reach new heights.

On behalf of the leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam, I would like to send to all delegates, distinguished guests, scientists and all comrades my respectful greetings, warm regards and best wishes.

In today's volatile world with many difficulties and challenges, science, technology and innovation are the shortest and most effective ways for us to break through, reach far, fly high, and integrate in the development process, making the world and humanity better, more prosperous and happier.

We are very pleased that VinFuture Science Week 2024 and the Award Ceremony today bring together the "elite" and "giants" of world science with outstanding scientific achievements, especially the 4 honored scientific works.

Covering core areas such as computer science, public health, global health, materials science and regenerative medicine, the works honored today are all groundbreaking innovations, important solutions to common challenges that are global, universal, comprehensive, and contribute to shaping the future of the world.

Dear delegates and guests!

We appreciate and thank Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong and his wife for the establishment, development and affirmation of the international stature of the VinFuture Foundation, especially the VinFuture Prize which is becoming one of the prestigious annual science awards, inspiring, promoting global cooperation, connecting creative ideas to solve the great challenges of the whole people. This is also in line with Vietnam's development strategy, where science and technology, innovation and digital transformation are identified as one of the important pillars of the country's rapid and sustainable development.

The Party and State of Vietnam and we believe that the VinFuture Prize will continue to motivate and inspire scientists and entrepreneurs, especially the young generation of Vietnam with enthusiasm, aspiration, will to rise up and perseverance to realize their dreams and ambitions.

Vietnam always pays special attention to science, technology and innovation, considering this an objective requirement, a strategic choice, a top priority and a national policy to promote rapid and sustainable development in the new era - the era of national prosperity and prosperity, as General Secretary To Lam has directed.
