On November 13, 2023, the Government issued Decision No. 1339/QD-TTg approving the Planning of Ha Giang province for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050. From a development perspective. From a perspective consistent with the orientation and vision for national development, the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party, the 10-year socio-economic development strategy 2021 - 2030 of the whole country, Resolution No. 11-NQ/TW dated February 10, 2022 of the Politburo on the direction of socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the Northern Midlands and Mountains region to 2030, with a vision to 2045, the national master plan, national sectoral planning and regional planning; Resolution of the 17th Congress of Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025.

The development vision to 2050 strives to build Ha Giang province into a fairly average developing province of the country, in the direction of greenness, identity, sustainability and comprehensiveness.

Develop a cooperative, friendly, civilized and harmonious society; closely combine economic development with cultural development; improve livelihoods and ensure social security; create stable jobs to sustainably reduce poverty, improve the material and spiritual life of the people; focus on education and training of high-quality human resources; promote social progress and equity; preserve and promote cultural heritage values; attach importance to investment in the development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas, remote areas, areas with difficult and especially difficult economic conditions.
