Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has just signed decisions on approving the investment policy and investors of two power transmission projects of the 500 kV Quang Trach - Quynh Luu and Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa lines.

These are two component projects of the 500kV line 3 project from Quang Trach to Pho Connect. Accordingly, the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) was assigned to invest in 2 projects.

\"transmission.jpg\" — The 500kV Quang Trach to Pho Noi transmission project plays a particularly important role in supplying electricity to the North.

Of which, the 500kV Quang Trach - Quynh Luu transmission line project has a length of about 225.5km with the starting point being the 500kV distribution yard of Quang Trach Power Center (Quang Binh province) and the end point being location D1 located about 300m from the 500kV Quynh Luu substation (Nghe An). The project passes through the provinces of Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An; The total investment capital is about 10,110 billion VND.

The 500kV Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa transmission line project is about 91.8km long with the starting point being point D2, about 300m from the 500kV Quynh Luu substation (Nghe An) and the ending point being the 500kV Thanh Hoa substation. The project passes through 2 provinces of Nghe An and Thanh Hoa; with a total investment of about 4,116,027 billion VND.

The project implementation progress is from 2023-2025, striving to be completed in June 2024.

Both projects aim to increase the transmission capacity of existing 500kV lines to ensure power supply to the North, especially when the transmission capacity trend is high in the Central - North direction due to the high growth rate of load in the Northern region.

At the same time, reduce the load on existing 500kV lines (ensuring the N-1 criterion), especially when hydropower plants in the North generate low power; improve the stability reserve on the North - Central interface, combined with the remaining component projects of the 500kV line project circuit 3 from Quang Trach to Pho Noi, contributing to creating a strong connection from the center of the North Central power sources to the load center of the Northern region.

This is an important basis for safe, reliable, stable and optimal operation of the power system, contributing to reducing the cost of operating the power system; transmitting the capacity of thermal power plants in the North Central region as well as renewable energy plants in the North Central region to the national power system, supplying electricity to the load center in the Northern region.

The 500kV line 3 from Quang Trach to Pho Noi (Hung Yen) including the above 4 sub-projects is a particularly urgent project to reduce the pressure of power shortage in the North. The Government assigned to complete before June 30, 2024.

The four component projects are: Quang Trach - Quynh Luu, 225km long, with a total investment of 10,110 billion VND; Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa 92km long with total investment of 4,116 billion VND; Thanh Hoa - Nam Dinh I Thermal Power Plant 74km long with total investment of 3,086 billion VND; Nam Dinh I - Pho Noi 124km thermal power plant has a total investment of 5,539 billion VND.

The Government has just approved the investment policy and investors for two component projects of the 500kV line 3 project, creating conditions for supplying electricity to the North upon completion.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has just signed decisions approving the investment policy and investors of two 500 kV power transmission line projects Quang Trach - Quynh Luu and Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa.

These are two component projects of the 500kV line 3 project from Quang Trach to Pho Noi. Accordingly, the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) was assigned to invest in two projects.

The 500kV Quang Trach to Pho Noi transmission project plays a particularly important role in supplying electricity to the North.

In particular, the 500kV Quang Trach - Quynh Luu transmission line project has a length of about 225.5km with the starting point being the 500kV distribution yard of Quang Trach Power Center (Quang Binh province) and the ending point being location D1, about 300m from the 500kV Quynh Luu substation (Nghe An). The project passes through the provinces of Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An; with a total investment capital of about 10,110 billion VND.

The 500kV Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa transmission line project is approximately 91.8km long, with the starting point at D2, approximately 300m from the 500kV Quynh Luu substation (Nghe An) and the ending point at the 500kV Thanh Hoa substation. The project passes through the two provinces of Nghe An and Thanh Hoa; with a total investment of approximately VND 4,116,027 billion.

Project implementation progress from 2023-2025, striving to complete in June 2024.

At the same time, reduce the load on existing 500kV lines (ensuring N-1 criteria), especially when hydropower plants in the North generate low power; increase the stable reserve on the North - Central interface, combined with the remaining component project of the 500kV line project, circuit 3 from Quang Trach to Pho Noi, contributing to creating a strong connection from the center of North Central power sources to the load center of the Northern region.

The four component projects are: Quang Trach - Quynh Luu, 225km long, with a total investment of VND10,110 billion; Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa, 92km long, with a total investment of VND4,116 billion; Thanh Hoa - Nam Dinh I Thermal Power Plant, 74km long, with a total investment of VND3,086 billion; Nam Dinh I - Pho Noi Thermal Power Plant, 124km long, with a total investment of VND5,539 billion.

The Prime Minister has just decided to approve the investment policy and accept the investor of the 500kV transmission line project of Nam Dinh I Thermal Power Plant - Thanh Hoa, to supplement the power source for the North.
