On March 13, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences held a seminar "Let Vietnamese children grow up with a stress-free childhood" with the participation of experts, scientists, educational institutions and parents.
In modern society, children are facing many pressures from study, family and society. These pressures not only affect their mental health but also reduce the joy and innocence of childhood. According to research by the United Nations Children's Fund ( UNICEF ), the mental health and psychosocial well-being of children and adolescents in Vietnam are facing many challenges. Study pressure, family expectations and social competition are the main factors causing this situation.
Sharing at the seminar, Director of the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences, Professor, Dr. Le Anh Vinh said: "As the head of the delegation leading the Vietnamese students to participate in the International Math Olympiad for many years, I realized that for primary school students, having to get high scores, becoming champions or winners is a very small and easy goal to achieve. The higher and more difficult goal to achieve is for children to develop comprehensively, to grow up with a carefree and innocent childhood, to develop their full potential without having to endure any pressure."
Emphasizing that the topic of how to help Vietnamese children grow up with a stress-free childhood has always received great attention from schools, teachers and parents, Professor, Dr. Le Anh Vinh hopes that the discussion will be a place where experts, scientists, managers and parents can share their views from many different perspectives to better nurture future generations.

Experts and scientists discuss the causes of student stress. |
At the seminar, many experts acknowledged that pressure is inevitable in life. The question is how to help students overcome pressure and still maximize their abilities. If we do not put pressure on them, are we being too lenient, causing children to not try hard?
Experts and teachers also made recommendations and proposed solutions to help children reduce pressure and grow up in a carefree manner, which is to continue to improve the legal policy system on child protection and care, such as: Building and promulgating a mechanism to synchronously and fully implement all children's rights , not taking any rights lightly, and ensuring harmonious and reasonable implementation of rights.
