T&T Group donates 20 billion VND to people in flood-affected areas

Representing the units presenting the donation to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Mr. Do Quang Hien, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of T&T Group, said that in parallel with implementing production and business activities, T&T Group always pays attention to social work and charity, considering this a continuous and consistent program throughout its operations.

“In response to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, T&T Group and a number of member companies have joined hands to support people in the provinces to quickly overcome the consequences caused by storm No. 3,” said Mr. Do Quang Hien, adding that immediately after the results of the survey of the actual damage in the northern mountainous provinces, including the damage to highland schools, the Group will continue to support new construction and necessary equipment to help students go to school. For students who have lost their father or mother, the Group will take care of them until they go to university.

Mr. Do Quang Hien hopes that in the coming time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front will accompany and guide the Group to quickly concretize this support resource and help people soon stabilize their lives after the storm and flood.

On behalf of the Party Delegation, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and those who received this meaningful gift, Chairman Do Van Chien expressed his sincere thanks to the support of T&T Group, SHB Bank, SHS Company, Vinawind Company, along with the contributions of the Group's employees over the past time; at the same time, he committed that the donation amount will be distributed promptly, publicly and transparently by the Central Relief Mobilization Committee to the beneficiaries.

Affirming that T&T Group has always accompanied the Vietnam Fatherland Front in social security activities, providing housing support for the poor and people in difficult circumstances throughout the past time, Chairman Do Van Chien said that, in the face of heavy losses suffered by people when the storm passed, the Central Relief Mobilization Committee determined to support the construction of new houses for people swept away by floods to return home with a minimum amount of 50 million VND.

Along with that, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels will pay attention to and support students from poor and near-poor households with books and school supplies so that they can continue to go to school; support medical examination and treatment, health care for the injured, and support food and essential food for 3 months for those whose houses and crops have been damaged. In addition to supporting resources, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels also provide spiritual encouragement, helping people who are experiencing months of losing loved ones, difficulties in housing, and production resources to stabilize their psychology to overcome this difficult period.

According to Chairman Do Van Chien, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has innovated in receiving support, through publicizing and making transparent the resources to support the people - the beneficiaries. In localities, the list of households receiving support will be posted at the headquarters of the People's Committee at the same level for people to participate in monitoring.

With sincere thanks to the benevolent hearts, Chairman Do Van Chien believes that T&T Group and its member companies will continue to develop and grow, thereby having more resources to work with the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front to promote social security work, contributing practically to caring for the lives of the poor and disadvantaged in society.

On the same day, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Truong Thi Ngoc Anh received a donation of AUD 12,700 from the Party Committee in Australia. Mr. Nguyen Van Hanh, Deputy Chief of Office of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, received a donation of VND 230.99 million from Denso Vietnam Co., Ltd.
