On March 12, in Krong Na commune, Buon Don District People's Committee organized Buon Don Elephant Festival 2025. This is an activity within the framework of the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival 2025.
When talking about Buon Don, we cannot help but mention the Elephant Festival, a unique festival that only exists in Dak Lak. From ancient times, from the time of the Trung sisters and Trieu, to the heroic war elephants of Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue that made the enemy terrified, to the fierce war years in the resistance war to protect the Fatherland of our people, elephants have always been friends, a means of transporting ammunition and food to help the army and people defeat the invading empires. Today, elephants participate in friendly activities such as: Feeding elephants, getting acquainted and taking interactive photos with elephants... a type of tourism that has attracted domestic and foreign tourists to Buon Don.
Attending the Elephant Festival were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Vo Van Canh; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Truong Cong Thai; Media Ambassador of the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival 2025, Miss Vietnam Tourism Ambassador 2024 Dinh Thi Hoa; leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Buon Don district and many tourists from inside and outside the province. Mr. Y Si That Ksor - Vice Chairman of Buon Don District People's Committee said that elephants are precious animals of the ethnic groups in Buon Don District. Elephants have become a cultural symbol of Buon Don, representing the beauty of the village, wealth and prosperity; elephants are closely associated with the survival and development of the nation, they permeate social relationships, impacting culture, art, beliefs, customs, festivals and many other forms of community activities of the local ethnic groups. The Buon Don Elephant Festival 2025 is an attractive activity within the “Tourism Journey” of the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival 2025, aiming to introduce the cultural and ecological tourism potential of Buon Don district in particular and Dak Lak in general to friends and tourists inside and outside the province.
