Speaking to reporters, Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training of Nghia Dan district, Pham Huy Son, informed that after the incident, Nghia Loc commune kindergarten held a meeting and decided to temporarily stop teaching and assign other jobs to teachers, who had been beaten during class with bruises and injuries all over their bodies.
The teacher who was temporarily suspended from teaching is named Dao Thi Soa. The temporary suspension is partly to allow this teacher to coordinate with relevant authorities to clarify the case of many children being beaten during class.
During the temporary suspension from teaching, the school will assign other work in the school to Ms. Soa. Ms. Soa will still work normally at the school during office hours.
Regarding this incident, Chairman of Nghia Dan District People's Committee Vo Tien Sy also gave urgent instructions to relevant units to urgently investigate and clarify.
Assign specific responsibilities and advise on implementing the disciplinary review process or request the police agency to investigate and handle according to legal regulations when there is a basis.
Request the District Department of Education and Training to coordinate with the locality to stabilize the situation in schools and in the area to ensure security and order, especially the work of ensuring safety for children. Timely visit the health of children, exchange and share with parents.
Coordinate with the Internal Affairs Department to inspect the performance of assigned tasks of the Principal of Nghia Loc Kindergarten. Implementation of regulations on civil servant management, arrangement and assignment of tasks to teachers and staff at the school. Assign specific responsibilities as a basis for advising on disciplinary action according to regulations.
Request the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to visit and encourage the affected families and children. Review and verify the children's family circumstances to have a plan to call for and support when necessary.
Expressing his opinion on this incident, Chairman of Nghia Dan District People's Committee Vo Tien Sy said that the locality has directed verification, strict handling and will soon have official, clear information about the incident.
As previously reported by Kinh te & Do thi newspaper, a report from Nghia Loc kindergarten shows that class 5 years old A2 of Nghia Loc kindergarten has 43 children, with 2 homeroom teachers responsible for educating and caring for the children.
On the afternoon of October 7, Nghia Loc Kindergarten assigned Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai (homeroom teacher) to update school information on the Ministry of Education and Training's database at the medical room and Ms. Le Thi Ly (homeroom teacher) to go to another classroom to prepare lesson content and supplies to participate in professional activities of the school and school clusters according to the plan of the Department of Education and Training. The school arranged Ms. Dao Thi Soa, a teacher of 3-year-old class C1, to manage 5-year-old class A2 while the 2 homeroom teachers were on other duties.
At the end of drop-off time, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai discovered many children with bruises on their bodies. Immediately after checking, she found out that 6 children had been beaten by a friend. After picking up the children, the parents, worried about their children's health, took them to the hospital for examination and treatment.
Immediately afterwards, the teachers and the school exchanged information about the incident with the parents whose children were beaten and had bruises all over their bodies, but the parents did not agree. Therefore, they posted pictures of the beaten children along with their angry comments on social media, the incident shocked the local public.
