A man in Nghe An was taken to the emergency room with burns on half of his body, suspected to have been caused by a phone explosion.

At noon on March 11, information from the Tuong Duong District Medical Center, Nghe An said that this unit had initially treated and transferred the severely burned patient to Nghe An General Hospital for continued treatment.
On the evening of March 10, Mr. LVG, 31 years old, residing in Tam Thai commune, Tuong Duong district, went to a wedding of an acquaintance. After drinking alcohol, Mr. G. went to sleep.
At dawn on March 11, relatives heard Mr. G. screaming and ran in to check. They saw smoke and fire in the room, engulfing Mr. G..
Although the fire was extinguished, Mr. G. suffered severe burns from his abdomen down to his legs and was taken to the emergency room.
According to doctors, Mr. G. suffered severe burns, many of them third degree.
Local authorities initially determined that the cause of the incident may have been due to Mr. G's phone exploding while charging, leading to the fire.
