To kick-start the new goal, determined to achieve double-digit growth in the final year of completing the term plan, right from the first days of the Lunar New Year 2025, many units and enterprises in the province have started production and business activities. The working atmosphere at the beginning of the new year has been bustling, workers have returned to construction sites and workshops, starting a new year with many new hopes.
Maintain production throughout Tet
Right from the 3rd day of Tet, Cai Lan Port has consecutively welcomed 2 ships Sendai Spirit and Oriental Breeze carrying 73,000 tons of wood chips for export. These are 2 international ships that first visited Quang Ninh on the Tet holiday. The activities to welcome the ships were carried out smoothly and safely by the management unit and the port, affirming professionalism, speed, cost savings, and ensuring the rights and legitimate interests of the ship owners.
With the role of handling over 40% of the total cargo volume in the Northern region, Quang Ninh Seaport has gradually affirmed itself as a key economic sector and strength of the province. To promote its advantages, in recent years, seaport activities have been constantly moving, innovating, creating an open working environment, synchronizing infrastructure towards improving service quality, and cargo output has always increased year by year. In particular, in 2024, cargo output reached a record level, the highest in many years with nearly 150 million tons, an increase of 7.8% compared to 2023.
The goal in 2025 is for the seaport to reach a new growth milestone with a double-digit increase, which will promote the geographical location advantage, well meet the requirements in the new transportation trend of seaports, so that the province becomes a dynamic sea area in the Northern region.
Also starting early, organizing production right from the days of Tet, in industrial parks, many units and enterprises have organized to work through Tet to ensure the plan and target of orders from the beginning of the year. Ms. Dinh Thanh Tu (representative of Jinko Solar Co., Ltd., Song Khoai Industrial Park, Quang Yen Town) said: To ensure export orders in the first quarter of 2025, during the Lunar New Year holiday, the Company has over 2,400 staff and workers organizing work with 80% of the production line system operating normally. On the 6th day of Tet, 100% of the factory's operations resumed to speed up production progress according to the signed contract with customers.
To ensure the rights of cadres and workers working during Tet, the unit carefully prepares for Tet right at the factory, implements regulations on salary payment, additional allowances, etc. Currently, the production competition atmosphere is still very positive with the hope of creating many new products, making important contributions to the processing and manufacturing industry of Quang Ninh province in 2025.
During Tet, some factories in Song Khoai Industrial Park still maintain operations, increasing the demand for water. From the first to the fourth day of Tet, Song Khoai Industrial Park consumes an average of about 13,000m3 water/day and night. To maintain a smooth water supply for production in the industrial park, workers and engineers of JAIHOME Co., Ltd. work continuously in 3 shifts during Tet. JAIHOME Co., Ltd. is currently the unit that ensures the supply and treatment of water for Song Khoai Industrial Park. For each officer, engineer and worker of JAIHOME Co., Ltd., working during Tet is a familiar task.
3 years working with JAIHOME Co., Ltd. is as many Tet seasons as the young man "9X" Nguyen Nhat Tan, a clean water station operator at JAIHOME Co., Ltd., has worked through Tet. With responsibility and love for the job, he and his colleagues are ready to join the Tet shift to ensure water supply for production in the industrial park. Mr. Nguyen Nhat Tan shared: "Over the past 3 years, my colleagues and I have become accustomed to celebrating Tet at the unit. We temporarily put aside our own joy to urgently check, maintain, operate the machinery system, maintain production with a spirit of determination and competitive spirit, wishing to complete the job well from the first days of the new year".
At the province's key traffic projects, the atmosphere of preparation and competition organization and construction has been very urgent since the first days of spring. At most construction sites, from the 5th day of Tet, project staff and workers have been present, reviewing, organizing and assigning plans to restart the project starting from the 6th day of Tet.
With the goal of ensuring the completion of the Lai Xuan Bridge project in the first quarter of 2025, after the main bridge is completed, contractors will focus on completing the construction of the approach road at both ends of the bridge. This is the 4th road traffic corridor after National Highway 10, Bach Dang Bridge, and Ben Rung Bridge connecting Quang Ninh - Hai Phong.
Similarly, at the construction site of the Riverside Road - a key project for the development of the western region of the province, 13 bridge construction teams and 3 road construction teams have all started to speed up construction since the first days of the new year with nearly 1,000 officers and workers present at the construction sites. With the spirit of "Overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain", many new and complex technical solutions and construction organizations have been deployed synchronously and drastically throughout the construction site with an enthusiastic spirit of emulation in labor, high determination in work, striving to ensure the completion of the project in 2025.
Exciting new coal season
On Tet holiday, when everyone is gathering with their relatives and family to celebrate the new year, many officers and workers of the Control - Production Department (Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company) are still focused on their duties of commanding and operating mine production. The Control - Production Department is known as the "heart" of Vang Danh mine. Here, all activities of controlling people entering and leaving the mine, synthesizing production reports, monitoring the ground, conveyor lines, mine doors, connecting information, detecting and handling all situations in the mine... are closely monitored 24/7. Every moment of mine safety is the top priority of the unit. Every Tet holiday, the Control - Production Department always ensures enough staff to work shifts throughout Tet.
Mr. Bui Cong Thuong, Deputy Head of Control and Production Department (Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company) shared: “Although the mine temporarily stopped operating during Tet, the ventilation and drainage department still maintained normal working staff. The workshop's task is to monitor production coordination activities, detect and handle any situations that arise in the mine. We are determined to not forget our duties during the New Year, 100% of the staff in the department are divided into shifts to participate in Tet duty. In the past year, the Company completed its production and business tasks, and had the conditions to take good care of the workers during Tet. The brothers are determined to compete in labor production, striving to exceed the targets right from the first days and months of the new year."
With the spirit of celebrating spring without forgetting the task, departments, divisions and production workshops of Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company are determined to promote emulation, complete the production and business goals in 2025, strive to exploit over 3 million tons of raw coal, meeting the coal demand of the market.
At Cao Son Coal Joint Stock Company, on the morning of February 1 (the 4th day of Tet), Cao Son Coal Joint Stock Company organized the first production launch of the year with a vibrant competitive atmosphere. On the first working day of 2025, all production units simultaneously started the first shift. The average labor rate of the units reached over 90% with a vibrant and enthusiastic production atmosphere.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, production teams at the quarries excavated 130,000m3 . waste rock and soil; produced 12,000 tons of coal and consumed 18,000 tons of coal of all kinds. It is known that in 2024, with drastic and effective management solutions, implementing the goal of "Taking production as the center, all serving production", Cao Son Coal Joint Stock Company - TKV has excellently completed production and business plan targets, such as: Excavation of rock and soil reached over 58 million m3 , equal to 100% of the annual plan; coal production reached 5.15 million tons, equal to 100.4% of the annual plan, of which raw coal production reached over 4 million tons, equal to 100% of the annual plan; coal consumption reached 5.108 million tons, equal to 108.7% of the annual plan; average salary reached 16.6 million VND/person/month, equal to 106.7% of the annual plan...
This is an important premise to help Cao Son Coal set high goals for the 2025 coal season. Entering 2025, the Company aims to excavate 60 million m3 of rock and soil; produce 4.7 million tons of coal, of which 4 million tons of raw coal is produced; and consume a total of 4.66 million tons of coal.

Currently, the Company is taking advantage of favorable weather in the first months of the year, focusing on production to achieve the highest output in the first 6 months of 2025. At the same time, strictly implementing operational discipline, technical and technological indicators, coordinating with localities, ministries and branches to quickly resolve legal procedures for mining, dumping, land planning, site clearance; strengthening management and cost management; continuing to perform well in labor safety and environmental work; security and order work, protecting assets, resources and mine boundaries.
During the Lunar New Year, units in the entire Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group proactively carried out the management of resources, mine boundaries, protected targets, works, assets, and workers' dormitories to ensure security, order, and safety; organized thoughtful care for workers to have a warm and happy Tet with their families. 100% of units arranged production duty, maintained processing, prepared coal sources, ensured coal consumption as well as prepared conditions, ensured ventilation and drainage for production right after the Tet holiday.
Before Tet, the Coal Industry units took good care of and gave worthy Tet bonuses to their workers. This is an important motivation for workers to be excited to return to work after Tet. For TKV's open-pit coal production units, most units organized spring work on the 4th day of Tet. Particularly for the underground mine block, on the 6th day of Tet, the units organized spring work. The units are organizing free buses to pick up workers from the countryside to Quang Ninh to work, thanks to which, the rate of workers returning to production this year is expected to be high (about 80-87%). To encourage workers to return to work after the Lunar New Year holiday, leaders of the Coal Industry units all organized meetings and gave lucky money to workers during the first shift.
Right from the first days and months of the new year 2025, at construction sites, workshops, quarries, furnaces, ports... of the Coal industry, everywhere is bustling with an exciting competitive atmosphere, with high determination to complete the production and business tasks of each shift, each day, each month set by units and companies. In 2025, TKV sets a higher target, with a plan to pay the budget 25,500 billion VND; consume 50 million tons of coal, export 2 million tons and produce 36.85 million tons of clean coal.
In 2025, Quang Ninh has identified the theme of the year as "Breakthrough in economic development, creating momentum for the new term", in which TKV continues to be one of the pillars, making important contributions to the development of Quang Ninh province. Coal industry units continue to make efforts and strive to exceed the production and business plan for 2025; review and complete regulations and labor safety procedures in each production stage, especially underground mining. At the same time, continue to promote the application of science and technology in production, considering this the key to improving productivity and increasing labor safety coefficient; coordinate with units in Quang Ninh province to promote the use of mine waste rock and soil as filling materials for projects.
