FPT cooperates strategically with Bac Giang to develop semiconductor industry and digital transformation

This agreement marks an important milestone in the cooperation between the two sides, opening up great opportunities to improve the quality of human resources and improve living conditions for local people, businesses and investors. At the same time, the two sides will actively implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.

According to the cooperation content, FPT Group will accompany Bac Giang in the digital transformation process, providing strategic consulting support to adjust the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. The Group will implement research and investment programs in the field of semiconductor industry, build data centers, develop a system of primary schools and high-quality training facilities to improve the quality of life in the locality.

Meanwhile, the People's Committee of Bac Giang province created favorable conditions for FPT to implement important projects, including supporting administrative procedures, providing necessary information, ensuring technical infrastructure, etc.

Commitment to human resource development and digital economy

One of the important goals of the cooperation between the two sides is to improve the quality of human resources, helping Bac Giang become a leading center for technology and digital economic development. FPT will support the province in implementing specialized training programs on digital technology for leaders, officials, civil servants, and public employees, and at the same time provide strategic advice to improve the digital skills of the local workforce.

In addition, FPT Corporation will coordinate with Bac Giang to digitize management systems, build digital databases, enhance information security and improve information technology infrastructure at public administrative agencies. FPT will also support businesses and business households in the province to access online sales channels, improving competitiveness in the context of a rapidly growing digital economy.

“Bac Giang is focusing on improving the quality of human resources, especially high-quality human resources, and promoting the application of digital technology in various fields. Since 2021, Bac Giang has worked with FPT to implement digital transformation and build digital infrastructure and achieved certain results. Bac Giang's industrial parks have become a bright spot, attracting a large number of workers with increasingly improved quality, but in the coming time, they still need to develop further and apply more technology. To solve the above problems, Bac Giang hopes to cooperate with FPT more effectively in the coming time,” affirmed Mr. Nguyen Viet Oanh.

Responding to the Chairman of the Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee, FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh affirmed: "The two sides need to discuss and propose solutions to improve the rapid and sustainable growth rate in Bac Giang. It is possible to turn Bac Giang into a destination in the regional semiconductor industry, and there must be drastic policies and actions to catch up."

Mr. Truong Gia Binh proposed solutions and development priorities including: Preparing infrastructure, especially transportation, logistics and human resources; Building preferential policies and supporting businesses, especially technology businesses; Focusing on developing strong areas such as information technology, high-tech agriculture and cultural tourism; Taking advantage of Bac Giang's geographical location and high-quality human resources.

At the same time, Mr. Truong Gia Binh stated that in order to effectively streamline and merge the administrative apparatus, Bac Giang province needs to standardize administrative procedures, data, and information technology systems. After the merger, the province is required to accelerate economic growth, so the application of information technology is necessary... FPT is always ready to support the province in applying technology to perform administrative management tasks, promoting socio-economic development. According to Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Bac Giang can learn successful lessons from the modern public administration model PEMANDU that has made Malaysia a high-income country by 2020.
