Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Permanent Deputy Chairman of the National Committee on Vietnamese Youth Nguyen Tuong Lam said: The activities during the Peak Day of Volunteering to Join Hands in Building New Rural Areas and the 3rd Green Sunday in 2023 guide young people to carry out many practical activities for the community.
These include building rural infrastructure, lighting up rural roads; participating in tree planting, creating clean and beautiful landscapes at cemeteries and martyrs' monuments; cleaning the environment, repairing and embellishing temples, steles, and memorials; instructing people on waste classification and treatment...
The activities taking place simultaneously nationwide will continue to create opportunities for young people to affirm their determination, sense of responsibility, and enthusiasm in building new rural areas, protecting the environment, responding to climate change, and moving towards sustainable development...
Comrade Nguyen Tuong Lam suggested that the Youth Union at all levels proactively and creatively deploy and diversify the contents of new rural construction; promote youth, spirit and intelligence to participate in solving rural challenges.
At the same time, effectively implement activities to support farmers in applying digital transformation; exploit the potential of digital economy in production management, promotion, and trade promotion of agricultural products, especially OCOP products.
Units need to bring young intellectuals to their localities, research and initiate start-up projects, and develop the rural economy. The young generation also needs to improve knowledge, skills and awareness of rural areas for the community; mobilize resources to invest in building infrastructure, rural landscapes and protecting the sustainable environment. Activities must create a spread, ensure practicality, effectiveness, and attract a large number of young people and the community to join hands.
On this occasion, the Central Youth Union supported Quang Binh Provincial Youth Union to implement an agricultural product platform on the virtual universe Metaverse worth 100 million VND; the "bright - green - clean - beautiful - safe - civilized" road project worth 200 million VND; 100 social security bags worth 25 million VND...
