After the Lunar New Year holiday, on February 3, nearly 12,000 workers of Garment 10 Corporation - JSC (Garment 10) in 7 provinces and cities across the country simultaneously started production, starting the first working day of the Year of the Snake with the determination to successfully complete the planned targets set for 2025.
Sharing on the first working day of the new year of At Ty, which also coincided with the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025), Mr. Than Duc Viet, General Director of May 10 Corporation, affirmed that over the past 95 years, our Party has been steadfast in its goals and ideals, overcoming all difficulties and challenges, bringing the country to further development, firmly consolidating independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
Mr. Than Duc Viet affirmed that the Party Committee and all cadres, workers and employees of Garment Corporation 10 entered the year of At Ty 2025 with a new spirit, determined to achieve many achievements to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025 - 2030 term towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, contributing to the successful implementation of the path of Socialism that the Party, Uncle Ho and our people have chosen.
In 2024, May 10's total revenue will reach VND 4,699 billion, up 11% compared to the plan, up 10% compared to 2023. Pre-tax profit will reach VND 131.5 billion, up 14% compared to the plan, up 7% compared to 2023. Average income of workers will reach VND 10,000,000/person/month, up 5% compared to the plan, up 8% compared to 2023. May 10 ensures full employment for more than 7,100 workers, supports 22% of monthly income on the occasion of the school opening, and gives 13th-month salary bonus equal to 13% of total income in 2024 to workers.
In 2025, May 10 sets a revenue target of VND 5,055 billion, an increase of 7.4% compared to 2024; profit of VND 135 billion, an increase of 2.3% compared to 2024. Average income of VND 10,500,000/person/month, an increase of 5% compared to 2024.
At the launching ceremony, May 10 Corporation called on all officers and employees to contribute part of their income to continue supporting people in difficult circumstances.
Along with that, on the morning of February 3, Vietnam Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) held the ceremony to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025) and the beginning of the new year in both in-person and online forms.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Tien Truong, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vinatex, emphasized that under the leadership of the Party, Vietnam has gone through many challenging stages, from gaining independence and unifying the country to the cause of innovation and economic development, making the country the 33rd largest economy in the world with an average income per capita. In that journey, the Vietnamese Textile and Garment industry has always played an important role, continuously participating in the group of key export industries of the country, creating jobs for more than 2.5 million workers, contributing to sustainable economic development.
Entering 2025, in the context of the country aiming to become a developed country by 2045, the textile and garment industry needs to concretize the Party's strategic orientations into key tasks. In particular, Vinatex sets specific goals such as: Improving labor productivity to ensure that workers' income reaches over 1.2 times the GRDP in the locality, striving to reach an average of 750 USD/month by 2030; Building a modern textile and garment industry, meeting standards in 2025 and joining the world's modern industrial group by 2030; Strong digital transformation, bringing management data to a common space for comparison and optimizing management efficiency; Developing a "one-stop" strategy, expanding domestic supply chains and increasing the localization rate...
In 2025, the Group aims to grow with consolidated profit reaching VND 820 billion, an increase of nearly 10% and parent company profit reaching VND 190 billion, an increase of 22.5% compared to 2024. Along with that, Vinatex continues to shape long-term strategy, greening the supply chain, improving competitiveness and developing human resources.
Also on February 3, all 33,000 workers of Hoa Phat Group returned to normal working rhythm. As for the production block in factories, they worked in shifts and produced normally during Tet.
According to a representative of Hoa Phat Group, in 2024, Hoa Phat achieved 140,560 billion VND in revenue, an increase of 17% over the same period last year, achieving the 2024 plan. Profit after tax reached 12,020 billion VND, an increase of 77% compared to 2023 and exceeding the yearly plan by 20%.
In 2024, Hoa Phat produced 8.7 million tons of crude steel, up 30% compared to 2023. Sales of HRC steel products, construction steel, high-quality steel and steel billets reached 8.1 million tons, up 20%. Of which, construction steel and high-quality steel reached 4.48 million tons, up 18% over the same period last year. HRC hot-rolled coil produced more than 3 million tons, up 5% compared to 2023.
In the domestic market, Hoa Phat has consolidated its position as the number 1 market share in the country for long steel and steel pipes with 37.6% and 27.7% respectively and is in the Top 5 for galvanized steel with 8.2%. Products have been supplied to a series of large infrastructure projects such as airports, Metro lines in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and many other key projects. The Group has produced and supplied hundreds of thousands of tons of steel with high technical content and complexity such as steel rolls for car tire beading, screws, welding rod cores, elevator cables, cold-formed high-alloy steel, crane steel, high-strength prestressed steel, etc.
Hoa Phat steel export market has expanded to nearly 40 countries and territories worldwide. In 2024, export activities will contribute 31% of the Group's total revenue.
Regarding downstream products, Hoa Phat supplied over 708,000 tons of steel pipes to the market, an increase of over 3% compared to 2023. Galvanized steel of all kinds reached over 446,000, an increase of 36% over the same period. Prestressed steel of all kinds reached 134,000 tons, an increase of 28% over the previous year.
In 2024, Hoa Phat Group will contribute VND 13,400 billion to the budget, far exceeding the VND 9,000 billion in 2023. Hoa Phat also spent hundreds of billions of VND on social security activities. In particular, the Group has supported the construction of 1,500 houses for the poor and disadvantaged households nationwide under the Government's program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses; supported the reconstruction of Lang Nu and Nam Tong, built houses for people in A Lu commune, Lao Cai, etc.
