Kinhtedothi- On the evening of March 10, Buon Ma Thuot City Square exploded in a brilliant artistic space, with the grand opening of the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025.
The ceremony was attended by leaders of the Party and State; leaders of central ministries and branches; leaders of provinces and cities; Ambassadors and Consuls General of countries; representatives of international organizations, sponsors, businesses, and a large number of domestic and foreign tourists and people of all ethnic groups in Dak Lak province.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha emphasized that the Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival not only honors Vietnamese coffee, a symbol of creativity and success, but is also a global forum where coffee producing and consuming countries gather to share a vision for a sustainable future for the world coffee industry. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that Dak Lak, with its fertile soil and ideal climate, is fully capable of becoming one of the world's largest coffee centers.
The Deputy Prime Minister also acknowledged that the Vietnamese coffee industry is facing many challenges such as uneven product quality, low processing rates and fierce competition from the international market. To overcome these challenges, the Deputy Prime Minister called on ministries, sectors, localities and businesses to coordinate closely to improve quality, while focusing on promoting the Vietnamese coffee brand in the international market.
In her opening speech, Ms. Huynh Thi Chien Hoa, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Council emphasized: "The Coffee Festival has truly become a festival to honor coffee growers, producers, processors, traders, and importers and exporters". With a coffee area of about 210,000 hectares and an output of over 520,000 tons per year, Dak Lak deserves to be the "coffee capital" of the country, bringing Vietnamese coffee closer to international friends.
In addition, the Opening Ceremony also had the presence of Ms. Vanusia Noguiera, General Director of the World Coffee Organization, who affirmed the importance of the Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in the international arena. Ms. Vanusia Noguiera expressed her emotion and impression of the festival, and committed to supporting the entire coffee value chain, especially improving the lives of farmers.

This year's festival will bring a completely new look, promising unforgettable experiences for anyone who sets foot in Buon Ma Thuot. With the theme "Buon Ma Thuot - Destination of world coffee" is not only an affirmation of position, but also the aspiration to reach international level of Buon Ma Thuot coffee.
