Practically achieving achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day on December 22, today, December 17, the 842nd Infantry Regiment, the Military Command of Quang Tri province coordinated with the Party Committee, authorities, departments, branches, and organizations of Ba Nang commune, Dakrong district to launch a campaign to do mass mobilization work and participate in building new rural areas.
According to the plan, the field trip for mass mobilization work will take place from December 16 to 30, 2024, with many contents and activities such as: organizing propaganda for the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; propagating the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army's Traditional Day, the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day and the tradition of the provincial armed forces.

During this period, officers and soldiers of Regiment 842 will help disadvantaged families with preferential policies and single parents to repair their houses and gardens; coordinate with local forces to clean up the environment, clear and repair 5.5 km of inter-village roads, build a community cultural house; build a volleyball court; provide free medical examinations and haircuts for people; and organize cultural and sports exchanges with agencies, units and people in the area.
On this occasion, the Provincial Military Command presented Ba Nang commune with a volleyball court worth 35 million VND; coordinated with the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to present 40 gifts (each worth 500,000 VND) to families in difficult circumstances; and presented 300 warm clothes to children at Ba Nang Kindergarten. The total cost of the activities was nearly 150 million VND.
This is a meaningful activity contributing to improving people's lives, building new rural areas in the locality, beautifying the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", strengthening the military-civilian relationship; at the same time, effectively implementing the project "Improving the quality and effectiveness of mass mobilization work of the armed forces of Military Region 4 in special areas in the military region for the period 2023 - 2030 and the following years" of Military Region 4.
