Quoc Truong and Mac Van Khoa return with a horror film project about "the guardian god"

Inspired by the folk legend of the guardian deity, the film explores mystical spiritual elements, while also reflecting on ancient customs that have held back people's desire for happiness.

The first image from the film has just been revealed by the crew, showing the central character as a devil in a red brocade bride's outfit, with a large hump on his back, suggesting sacrificial ceremony of the "guardian god" full of mystery. In addition, the poster also reveals spiritual items such as water jars , gold coins, red silk, placed in a dark and haunting space.

"Through this work, we want to delve into aspects of the spiritual life imbued with the Vietnamese identity, while condemning old customs that trample on people's pure desire for happiness" - The producer representative shared.

The first two main actors of Ut Lan: Oan Linh Giu Cua have been announced as Quoc Truong and Mac Van Khoa, marking the next collaboration after their convincing performance in Ke An Danh . However, the female lead role is still being kept secret by the crew, promising to bring surprises to the audience.

Ut Lan: The Revenant is scheduled to premiere on June 20, 2025.
