Duong No village festival honors President Ho Chi Minh's legacy

On March 20, news from the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hue City said that the Duong No village festival with the theme "Duong No - May Journey" organized by the unit will take place from May 17-19 in Duong No ward (Thuan Hoa district, Hue city).

Accordingly, the festival will have an opening art program; a procession and offering of lotus flowers to President Ho Chi Minh; culinary activities, folk games, booths displaying local tourism and OCOP products; cultural heritage experience activities; a painting contest about Uncle Ho and an exhibition; Hue singing and bolero singing programs to serve the community; bai choi, tram racing, etc.

The leader of the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hue City said that the Duong No village festival is part of the project "Promoting the value of President Ho Chi Minh relics in Hue City to serve tourism development".

The event aims to introduce to visitors the spiritual and material values ​​of President Ho Chi Minh's heritage in Hue, so that the memorial sites of him become tourist destinations, creating unique cultural products, attracting tourists.

Activities at the festival aim to build a close relationship between the relic and the community, raising community awareness in preserving and promoting heritage values.

In addition, the program also creates a highlight to attract tourism development activities, an opportunity to introduce heritage to travel companies, tour operators, domestic and foreign tourists, thereby attracting social investment in activities to promote the value of this relic.

“Duong No - May Journey” is an activity to celebrate the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025); 127 years since Nguyen Sinh Cung (President Ho Chi Minh) returned to live in Duong No village (1898 - 2025).
