Accordingly, Tripadvisor, the world's largest travel information platform, recently announced the list of outstanding restaurants receiving the "Travelers' Choice Award for 2023: Best of the Best Restaurants" in the globally selected Vegetarian/Plant-Based Restaurant category.
In this list, Vietnam has only one restaurant honored at number 10, which is Hum restaurant.

According to Tripadvisor, this is the result based on quantitative and qualitative data from reviews from travelers around the world. Tripadvisor's awards have 7 categories: Fine Dining (Restaurants serving fine dining); Everyday Eats (Restaurants serving everyday dishes at affordable prices); Hidden Gems (Restaurants serving delicious but not well-known dishes); Vegetarian (Restaurants with vegetarian-friendly menus); Family - Friendly (Restaurants with spaces suitable for families); Date Night (Restaurants suitable for a date night); Quick Bites (Restaurants serving fast food, no reservation required).
Tripadvisor said the results were based on the quality and quantity of traveler reviews on Tripadvisor from June 1, 2022 to May 31, 2023. This year's winning restaurants span six continents, 58 countries/territories, and 478 different destinations, making for a diverse list.
“Each award-winning business has met our rigorous standards for safety and trust. Less than 1% of Tripadvisor’s 8 million listings are awarded a “Best of the Best” award, representing the highest level of excellence in the travel industry,” Tripadvisor added.

Speaking to Thanh Nien , a representative of Hum restaurant said that in the context of Vietnam's tourism industry experiencing many fluctuations due to the pandemic as well as current economic difficulties, the honor from international tourists through Tripadvisor is a valuable recognition for the restaurant's team.
“This is a strong encouragement in the process of developing and maintaining service quality during difficult times. This is the second time Hum has been honored in 10th place among the 25 best vegetarian/plant-based restaurants worldwide. The first award was given to Hum in July 2021,” the restaurant representative expressed.
Previously, this restaurant became one of only two vegetarian restaurants in Vietnam to be honored by Michelin Guide in the Bib Gourmand category.
