The forum is part of the Vietnam International Exhibition on Battery, Accumulator and Energy Storage Technology (Battery Expo 2024). This is an opportunity for experts and businesses from China, Korea, Taiwan (China), India and Vietnam to exchange, share information, update technology, seek cooperation, etc.
According to Mr. Pham Cuong - Chairman of the Vietnam Automobile, Motorcycle and Bicycle Association (VAMOBA), we live in a connected world where technology is constantly developing. Batteries, accumulators and energy storage and regeneration products are always improved, applying new technology, creative industrial designs, meeting the diverse and rich needs of consumers.
This creates great opportunities for domestic and foreign investors in Vietnam, step by step developing quality branded products, meeting domestic demand and reaching out to large markets around the world. However, at the same time, it is also a challenge for businesses, with the requirement to quickly adapt to the development speed of new technology.
“Through the 2024 International Green Technology Forum on Batteries, Accumulators and Energy Storage, we have opportunities to learn, exchange and connect to contribute to building a better future,” Mr. Pham Cuong emphasized.
Sharing lessons learned from China, Mr. Zhang Xing Le - Deputy Secretary General of the Energy Branch of the China Association for International Cooperation of Small and Medium Enterprises informed about China's Clean Energy Industry and Storage Technology integrating into the international market.
At the Forum, delegates also discussed and shared about the overview of the technology of the automobile, motorbike, electric vehicle industry and battery technology, opportunities and challenges; Clean Energy Industry and Storage Technology of China integrating into the international market; Hydrogen energy batteries and Distributed electricity storage systems, shifting peak hours; Hydrogen engines (zero carbon) applied to buses, ships, and heavy vehicles; Sodium batteries - safe and friendly electricity storage solutions; Distributed electricity storage systems, shifting peak hours (BESS); Orientation of enterprises in developing battery and energy storage technology; Application of battery and energy storage technology in Vietnam - Opportunities and challenges; Supply chain process - The path to develop Vietnam's electric vehicle industry...
The battery and energy storage industry is closely related to the renewable energy industry, especially solar energy due to the time-of-day characteristics of power generation. Vietnam has abundant renewable energy potential with abundant solar, wind, biomass and hydropower resources.
In fact, renewable energy, especially solar and wind power, has witnessed explosive growth in recent years, especially solar and wind power. These are inexhaustible natural energy sources and are the inevitable direction of the global green energy industry.
To realize Vietnam's Net Zero commitment at COP26, converting energy to new forms of energy and sustainable energy is an important and necessary direction, in which energy storage and power system regulation are inseparable combinations of the renewable energy industry.
