Promoting the role of the Department of Construction in the new situation

(Baoquangngai.vn) - From March 1, 2025, the new Department of Construction will officially come into operation after completing the merger between the Department of Construction and the Department of Transport. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien noted that the leadership of the new Department of Construction will continue to resolve the remaining issues after the merger process, better meeting the requirements and tasks of the unit in the new situation.

In the past time, in order to fully prepare the necessary conditions for the Department of Construction to operate under the new organizational model from March 1, 2025, the leaders of the two units have directed the agencies, organizations and affiliated units to effectively review, arrange and assign personnel to the new department; grasp and stabilize the ideology of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers; continue to carry out tasks to ensure that the department operates well, in accordance with the work requirements of the unit in the new apparatus.

After the merger, in the beginning, cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers will work at 2 locations. Of which, the headquarters at 68 Pham Van Dong Street (Quang Ngai City) will be the place to receive documents and information of the new Department of Construction.

Currently, the two departments have also built a layout diagram of the offices for the new Board of Directors and specialized departments; organized a plan to repair the 4-storey building at No. 39, Hai Ba Trung Street (Quang Ngai City) to meet the working facilities requirements of the unit.

At the meeting, the two departments also requested the Provincial People's Committee to allow the Department of Construction to take over the former office of the Department of Transport Inspectorate. The office has been completed but not yet put into use. At the same time, the Provincial People's Committee was requested to allocate funds to repair the offices of the 4-storey building at No. 39, Hai Ba Trung Street, to meet the needs of use in the coming time. It is expected that after the repair, these two buildings will be arranged with offices for the Board of Directors and 7 specialized departments. The office at No. 68, Pham Van Dong Street will be arranged with a workplace for the Department of Construction Inspectorate.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien acknowledged and highly appreciated the smooth coordination between the leaders of the Department of Transport and the Department of Construction in completing the legal conditions, organization and personnel work to merge the two departments. Thereby, creating a solid foundation for the new Department of Construction to officially come into operation from March 1, 2025. At the same time, he praised the spirit of solidarity, sharing and consensus of the cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of both units in the process of arranging personnel and facilities, creating a new, favorable and synchronous working environment in the coming time.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien requested the two units to continue reviewing and perfecting necessary elements, ensuring that the operations of the new Department of Construction not only run smoothly but also achieve higher efficiency than before.

The new leaders of the Department of Construction need to urgently complete the organizational structure, ensuring that the apparatus can promote its capacity in performing its tasks and functions. The 2025 work program needs to be issued soon. In particular, the tasks must fully inherit the old tasks, closely following the policies of the ministries, branches and key programs and plans of the province.

“The newly established unit needs to maximize its role and position, improve the quality of work, affirm the importance of the construction industry in the current situation; contribute to promoting the socio-economic development of the province in the coming time,” Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien emphasized.
