At VNVC Vaccination Centers in Can Tho City, the number of people coming to get flu shots has also increased sharply. Among them, the elderly and people with underlying diseases account for a high proportion.
To serve people coming to get vaccinated, VNVC Can Tho points have been operating at full capacity, without a lunch break. These centers have also arranged more staff, provided consultation and vaccinated people.
BSCKI Le Minh Hai - Deputy Director of CDC Tra Vinh said that the number of people coming to the center to get seasonal flu vaccination has also increased in recent days.
"On normal days, the center injects about 30 shots, but in the past two days it has tripled, to more than 100 shots," Mr. Hai said, adding that most of the people coming to get vaccinated are aged 50 and over.

According to Mr. Hai, although the number of people coming to get vaccinated has increased dramatically, the amount of vaccine is continuously ordered, preventing shortages from occurring.

The Department also requested the City CDC to preside over and coordinate with medical examination and treatment facilities and district and county health centers in the area to monitor cases of influenza and suspected severe viral pneumonia (SVP) in the area in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Health.
