On the morning of May 18, the Provincial Party Standing Committee held a conference to review 5 years of implementing Directive No. 23-CT/TW, dated February 9, 2018 of the Secretariat on "Continuing to innovate, improve the quality and effectiveness of studying, researching, applying and developing Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh thought in the new situation" and award prizes for composing and promoting literary, artistic and journalistic works in the first phase (2021 - 2023).
Attending the conference were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Pham Minh Tan; Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department H'Lim Nie; members of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee; leaders of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations; leaders of advisory and support agencies of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors; leaders of district, town, city and affiliated Party Committees; representatives of collectives and individuals who were commended and awarded prizes.

After 5 years of implementing Directive No. 23-CT/TW, awareness of the position and role of research and study of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought has been increasingly raised. The Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee has regularly led and directed the continued implementation of Directive No. 23-CT/TW in conjunction with the implementation of political tasks and practical activities in agencies, units and localities.

The process of applying and developing Directive No. 23-CT/TW has contributed to promoting the province's socio-economic situation to develop rapidly and sustainably, achieving positive results in all fields. Patriotic emulation movements and campaigns have been implemented in many diverse forms, suitable to the actual conditions in each field and of each agency, unit and locality.

The Provincial Party Standing Committee always pays attention to organizing and implementing programs, topics, and projects to summarize practices and conduct theoretical research to serve the development of resolutions, directives, and conclusions of the Central and the province. At the same time, it directs agencies to develop many scientific topics and projects to serve the work of Party building and rectification, propaganda, education of revolutionary traditions, socio-economic development, and ensuring national defense and security in the province.

Propaganda, training, professional development, political theory combined with innovation in content and methods of studying and researching Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh thought have been focused on and directed regularly, continuously and achieved positive results.
The provincial Party Committee has effectively applied the work of studying and researching Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought with the implementation of Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW, dated December 22, 2018 of the Politburo on "Strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation".

The award for composing and promoting literary, artistic and journalistic works on the theme "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style", phase 2021 - 2023 (phase I) continues to receive attention and achieve outstanding results.

There were 96 literary, artistic and journalistic works participating in the final round. The Jury selected 28 excellent works to propose to the Organizing Committee of the Award to award prizes, and selected 11 most typical works to compete for the Central-level award.

Most of the works are of good quality; diverse in genre, rich in subject; profound in content; coherent and reasonable in structure. Most of the works reflect correctly, truthfully and accurately “real people - real events”, have high educational value, thus arousing the emotions of readers and audiences. In particular, many works have been invested with time and effort by the authors, have been researched, closely followed reality, have specific data and images.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister awarded a Certificate of Merit to 1 individual with outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. The Provincial Party Standing Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 9 collectives and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing Directive No. 23-CT/TW. The Organizing Committee of the Award awarded 28 works that won the Award for composing and promoting literary, artistic and journalistic works on the theme "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" (2021 - 2023 period), of which Dak Lak Newspaper had 13 winning works. The A prize was awarded to the work "Border Aspiration" by the group of authors Dam Thuan - Quynh Anh - Do Lan (Dak Lak Newspaper), 5 B prizes, 10 C prizes, 12 Encouragement prizes.

Concluding the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Pham Minh Tan requested Party committees at all levels, localities, agencies and units to continue to lead, direct and widely propagate Directive No. 23-CT/TW and resolutions and directives of the Party on political theory; continue to innovate the content and methods of studying and researching Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought according to the motto of being basic, systematic, practical and modern, and suitable; innovate the content and methods of organizing training and fostering in political theory; grasp the situation, proactively provide information and orient public opinion on complex and sensitive issues of public concern; strengthen inspection and supervision of the organization and implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies in the fields of studying, researching and applying Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Organizing Committee of the Award, Party Committees, press management agencies, press agencies to direct, organize, launch, guide, promote propaganda, and deploy for artists, press reporters, cadres, party members and people to participate in the Award to compose and promote literary, artistic and press works on the theme "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style", phase II (2023 - 2025); prioritize reflection in remote areas, ethnic minority areas; good and effective models, patriotic emulation movements, Party building and rectification work... in localities and units.
