Three brothers voluntarily signed up to join the army: Nguyen Khac Tu Hien Nhan, Nguyen Khac Tu Hien Nhon and Nguyen Khac Tu Hien Phuc in Group 42, Tam Thuan Ward, Thanh Khe District, Da Nang City. Hien Nhan and Hien Nhon are twins, and Hien Phuc is the youngest brother who just turned 18 years old.
The Military Service Council of Tam Thuan Ward, Thanh Khe District was quite surprised and impressed by the actions of these three brothers. What is special is that all three young men were qualified for military service.
Sharing about his decision, Nguyen Khac Tu Hien Nhon wanted to be trained in the military environment: "I asked my family's opinion and got their approval as well as the three brothers who went with me, then I wrote a volunteer application. Because I want to be in the military environment to train myself, including personality, thinking and discipline in the best way".
The small house of the family of 3 brothers Hien Nhan, Hien Nhon, Hien Phuc is located deep in a small alley in Group 42, Tam Thuan Ward, Thanh Khe District, Da Nang City. Mrs. Tran Thi Dieu Hien, the biological mother of the 3 brothers, is very excited because this year all 3 of her sons have passed the military service exam. In particular, Nguyen Khac Tu Hien Nhon, the eldest brother in the family, who is a 2nd year student at a college in Da Nang City, has also voluntarily applied to join the army. Mrs. Tran Thi Dieu Hien hopes that the military environment will help her children grow up soon:
"At first, after the medical examination, there was propaganda, but later on, we planned to give it to only one child, but in the end, all three children wanted to go, so we let all three children go. Parents also want their children to be more mature and stronger."
According to the Law on Military Service, if a family has one person in the army or who is fit enough to perform military service, if that family has 2 to 3 siblings who are all drafted, only one person will be selected to join the army, the rest will be deferred. However, the three brothers Hien Nhan, Hien Nhon, and Hien Phuc want to join the army together. Their family is also quite poor, currently the three of them are living with their grandmother. However, both the paternal and maternal families are very supportive of their brothers joining the army.
Mr. Ho Duc Tien, Commander of the Military Command of Tam Thuan Ward, Thanh Khe District, Da Nang City, said that in recent days, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Tam Thuan Ward have regularly come to encourage the children to feel secure in their journey to fulfill their military service: "This is also one of the very rare cases to encounter, even in the entire army. If there are twins, it is possible to meet them, but if there are 3 siblings going at the same time, it is very difficult. Besides, there is also a relative of the 3 siblings who also participated in this period. Thus, a family has 4 siblings participating at the same time. Up to now, all 4 young men have peace of mind."
Before the day of leaving for military service, the only worry of the three brothers Hien Nhan, Hien Nhon, and Hien Phuc was that there was no one to take care of their grandmother. Understanding the family's situation and concerns, the Party Committee, People's Committee, and Military Command of Tam Thuan Ward, Thanh Khe District, Da Nang City promptly shared and encouraged the young people to feel secure about leaving for military service.
