On February 2 (the 5th day of Tet), Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee quickly reported on the organization of the Lunar New Year 2025 in the province.
Accordingly, from January 25 to 30 (ie December 26 to the end of the second day of the Lunar New Year), the province's tourism industry welcomed about 220,000 visitors for sightseeing and relaxation.
Of which, domestic visitors reached 206 thousand, international visitors reached 14 thousand; visitors staying overnight reached 170 thousand. The total number of tourists coming to Lam Dong during the Lunar New Year from January 25 to February 22 (ie December 26 to the 5th day of the Lunar New Year) is expected to reach about 380 thousand, an increase of nearly 36% compared to the same period of the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon.
Of which, international visitors reached 27 thousand (up nearly 35%) and overnight visitors reached 270 thousand (up 70%). Tourists mainly concentrated in Da Lat from the 2nd to the 4th day of Tet. 3-5 star hotels reached an occupancy rate of about 75-85% and other types of accommodation reached 60-70%.

In Da Lat alone, the number of guests registered in hotels and motels from January 24 to February 1 (December 25 to the 4th day of Tet) reached more than 102,000 guests, a decrease of more than 33,000 guests compared to last year. Of which, domestic guests reached more than 89,000, international guests nearly 13,000.
Regarding the traffic situation during the Lunar New Year in the area, the authorities detected and recorded 701 cases of traffic violations. Of these, 347 cases were alcohol violations, 240 cases were speeding violations and 4 cases were positive for drugs. There were no prolonged traffic jams in the area, only local traffic jams on some central routes of Da Lat City during peak days.
Regarding the work of taking care of the people during Tet, agencies, localities and units organize visits, New Year greetings and gifts for families with meritorious services to the revolution, the poor, families affected by epidemics, natural disasters, armed forces and other forces on duty during Tet. Actively mobilize and encourage businesses, organizations and individuals to promote the tradition of mutual love and support to help the poor, the lonely elderly without shelter, orphans, disadvantaged children and those in especially difficult circumstances, and unemployed workers. Continue to review and not miss out on those who are supported during Tet. Ensure that everyone, every family, and everyone can celebrate Tet in a warm and affectionate atmosphere, no one goes hungry during Tet and the harvest season, "no one goes without Tet". Up to now, Lam Dong province has provided social assistance and subsidies for the Lunar New Year 2025 to about 216,002 beneficiaries with a total cost of more than 128.2 billion VND.

Districts and cities in the province develop plans to organize cultural, artistic, physical education, sports, entertainment, festivals, New Year's Eve... activities to celebrate the Party and the Spring of At Ty 2025. The Provincial People's Committee agreed in principle for the two cities of Da Lat and Bao Loc and the two districts of Bao Lam and Dam Rong to organize low-altitude fireworks displays on New Year's Eve of At Ty 2025; the implementation costs will come from socialized sources, local sponsorship, not using the budget or mobilizing contributions from the people.
The provincial police have well deployed patrol forces to protect the safety of targets in the area, ensuring safety for people's entertainment venues during Tet; proactively grasped the situation, coordinated with functional units to promptly handle unexpected and arising situations.
Issues of work and production organization of agencies and units: The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and agencies, localities and units arrange and assign Tet duty to handle unexpected work arising during Tet holidays; direct agencies, units, organizations and enterprises in the area to proactively arrange production and business plans; have specific plans to arrange staff and employees to work during Tet and regularly grasp the situation, promptly resolve work and handle unexpected problems arising in the industry, field and management area. Strictly implement the information and reporting regime during Tet holidays.
Urgently return to work as usual after the Tet holiday, strive to perform tasks well from the first months of 2025. Strictly implement regulations and rules on discipline, administrative discipline, public ethics, regulations on setting examples associated with promoting administrative procedure reform in handling work of people and businesses; prevent and combat corruption, waste, and negativity; enhance the role, responsibility, working style and manners of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers.

During the Lunar New Year, agricultural products such as vegetables, tubers, fruits... serving basic consumer needs were stable, without major fluctuations; the disease situation on crops was controlled, not allowed to spread widely; no livestock or poultry were found to have dangerous infectious diseases; animal quarantine work was maintained regularly; no violations of animal quarantine were detected. The functional sector has increased patrolling, inspection, forest protection management and forest fire prevention and fighting.
