Provincial and district leaders dialogue with businesses in Ben Luc district
At the beginning of the dialogue , on behalf of the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Huynh Van Son sincerely thanked the enterprises for taking the time to participate in the dialogue, which demonstrated the spirit of companionship and solidarity for the common development of Long An province. Thanks to this companionship from the enterprises, in 2024, Long An maintained an impressive growth momentum with the province's growth rate reaching 8.3%; state budget revenue for the first time exceeded 26,500 billion VND; investment attraction recorded an increase in many capital flows into the fields of industry, trade and services with more than 187,000 billion VND; many large projects were started and put into operation. In particular, Long An was voted in the Top 10 localities attracting large enterprises in 2024.
The dialogue aimed to recognize the difficulties, to overcome them together and continue to strive and develop. Through that, businesses sent many opinions and recommendations to the provincial leaders.
Accordingly, the representative of HP Long An Cordyceps Production, Trade and Service Company proposed 2 issues: The province provides information on land funds for high-tech agricultural development and preferential policies in this field; Guides businesses on procedures for applying for land outside the planning to implement high-tech agricultural projects.
Quyen Auto Service Trading Production Company Limited proposed that the province provide information on tax and credit policies to support manufacturing enterprises and connect with domestic raw material suppliers, helping enterprises increase the localization rate and meet export requirements. This enterprise also proposed that the province provide information on the implementation time of the Project to upgrade and renovate Provincial Road 830C.
Thinh Phat General Investment and Business Joint Stock Company recommends that the authorities support the enterprise in implementing compensation, site clearance and land recovery for households not subject to resettlement arrangement to ensure the progress of completing the resettlement area project; provide guidance on procedures for the investment period of the expanded industrial park to be 50 years; investors of Prodezi Industrial Park hope to soon receive support for site clearance for the remaining areas that have not been implemented...
In addition, some other businesses also recommended that the province and district have solutions to ensure traffic order and safety at the roundabout area of Ben Luc town; Long Kim intersection, etc.
All opinions of enterprises were answered by representatives of leaders of departments, branches and localities, providing specific instructions for each case. Regarding the project to renovate Provincial Road 830C, the leader of the Department of Transport informed that the province initially had a policy to implement it early, but after surveying, the cost of compensation for site clearance was high, from the estimated 220 billion VND to more than 1,000 billion VND, generating more capital than expected. Currently, the Provincial People's Committee has submitted to the Provincial People's Council for approval of the new policy and will implement it in the period of 2026-2030; construction is expected to start in early 2026.
Speaking at the dialogue, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut emphasized: "Long An's viewpoint is to always accompany businesses . Businesses come to Long An as their home, we share joy together; we solve difficulties together. Committed, said and done, done to that extent, effective, clear about each job, clear about each product".
Regarding the recommendations of enterprises, Mr. Nguyen Van Ut requested that departments, branches and localities continue to review and closely coordinate with enterprises to find optimal solutions, assign clear responsibilities to people and tasks, ensure transparency, efficiency and report on progress of resolution, and avoid delays.
Ben Luc district currently has more than 2,500 operating enterprises with a total registered capital of more than 100,000 billion VND (accounting for 25.4% of registered capital and 7.5% of the total number of enterprises in the province). In 2024 alone, the district will establish 313 new enterprises.
With advantages in geographical location, convenient traffic connections and strong investment in infrastructure, Ben Luc district is becoming one of the key economic, industrial and service centers of the province. The rapid development of industrial zones, clusters, urban areas and residents has contributed to creating a new, dynamic and modern appearance for the district./.
