Permanent Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Le Hong Son has just signed and issued a document to a number of ministries, branches and units regarding the repair of a number of works that have not been accepted for fire prevention and fighting (PCCC) and have been put into operation in the city.
Accordingly, recently, the City People's Committee has issued many documents directing resolute handling of projects put into operation without fire prevention and fighting acceptance.
At the same time, the Hanoi People's Committee has directed the City Police, People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to synchronously deploy many handling measures: Organize meetings with 100% of investors of violating projects (inviting relevant functional units to participate) to discuss and agree on measures and solutions for implementation; request investors to commit to a roadmap, time and progress to gradually overcome each existing content and specific violations;
Publicly post the names of investors of works that have not been accepted for fire prevention and fighting but have been put into operation on mass media; Resolutely sanction administrative violations, temporarily suspend or stop operations; Coordinate with the City Electricity Corporation, the City Clean Water Company Limited and water suppliers, based on relevant legal regulations, to study stopping the supply of electricity and water to violating works...
Fire safety inspection is a mandatory requirement before projects are put into operation.
The Government has issued many documents directing the resolute handling of works put into operation without fire prevention and fighting acceptance, most recently the Prime Minister's Directive Conclusion at the National Online Conference to evaluate the results of 10 months of implementing Directive No. 01 dated January 3, 2023 on strengthening fire prevention and fighting work in the new situation, emphasizing: "Resolutely handle all existing works that violate fire prevention and fighting regulations, have not been approved for acceptance or have arisen works that have not been approved or accepted for fire prevention and fighting that have been put into use in the management area, to be completed in June 2024"...
However, through monitoring, it is found that the progress of remedying the violations is still slow. To implement the direction of the Prime Minister, the Hanoi People's Committee requests that units pay attention to directing the implementation, ensuring that the works are operated in accordance with the provisions of law.
